Has anybody been by practice? What does the current depth look like? How has Hudgins been?

I have seen very little of the practices but from what I have seen the defensive secondary appears to be the strongest part of the team. Andreas Platt, the transfer from Duke, is a monster! Hudgins has been doing OK but our secondary is sticking to him like glue. Notwithstanding competition from Riddle in the fall, Wes definately looks like the clear winner in the starting QB role. He is throwing HARD and accurate. Even the long passes seem to be line drives not lame ducks. As we all know the OL & DL will be youngsters with a vet or two thrown in. They have lots of heart and are no doubt more comfortable with the scheme than last year. They will, however, have a lot to prove in the fall. Obviously, how good the team looks right now against themselves can only be judged from an organization standpoint. They are clearly more organized than last year and the enthusiasm this year versus last is substantial.

my gut tells me that Riddle may, and probably should redshirt, what a great asset to have in place a proven returning veteran QB

The secondary sounds legit. Who is replacing Nkang at LB. How does Clegg look.
