Friday Elon heads to the dog house to play a 15-5 team with a 7 game win streak. Citadel is the top of all teams in the Socon. Last year we took the series 2-1 this year id say 1 to 2 games this year will be the case. One thing for sure is that its going to be a dogfight

citadel last game was listed as this (CCD, travel problems (Dairy Queen Classic, Minneapolis, MN) does anyone know what the problems were That was the weekend of the bad winter storm that dumped a ton of snow in Minnesota. We got as far as Charlotte. The connecting flights were delayed and then they closed the airport in Minneapolis. We couldn't get enough hotel rooms in Charlotte because the Big South tournament. Wound up coming back down I-77 and spending the night in Columbia. The coaches were able to put together a couple of games with James Madison and Kent State at Winthrop. All in all, that weekend was pretty much a cluster. And there is no question that our record would not be as good if we had gotten to play in Minnesota because the other three teams were Ole Miss, Arkansas, and Minnesota. So, our record is somewhat suspect at this point.

Friday Elon heads to the dog house to play a 15-5 team with a 7 game win streak. Citadel is the top of all teams in the Socon. We're playing pretty good baseball right now, but you guys are the defending regular season champs. You guys have beaten us a lot lately and we haven't had much success with you guys. So, I'm sure you guys come in with a lot of confidence and maybe our guys aren't quite as confident as they need to be to have success against a quality opponent like Elon. Last year we took the series 2-1 this year id say 1 to 2 games this year will be the case. Actually, last year you guys swept us at your place in the regular season. Scores: 5-4, 7-4, 11-10. We split 1-1 in the SoCon tourney. You guys beat us 12-3 on Thursday. We beat you in an elimination game on Saturday 14-11. One thing for sure is that its going to be a dogfight Well... if it's a dogfight, I like our chances...because we're the Dogs! LOL

I'll be watching Live Stats and in the chat room. Hensley is starting tonight. Let's go Phoenix. Another 24-2 W would be nice, although pretty unlikely.

Elon takes the first game 3-1. Couple of notables - Hensley pitched a complete game to get the win. Looks like he pitched pretty well. Also, no defensive errors which helped.
Did anybody go to the game?

Did anybody go to the game? It was a very good game by both teams. Our guy, Wrenn, pitched very well. Hensley was just a little bit better. Everytime we'd get somethig going (which wasn't often), he'd make a big pitch to get out of an inning. Our last real chance was in the bottom of the eighth, runners on second and third and only one out. Hensley pitched out of the jam without allowing any runs. Hopefully, tomorrow will be a better day for us! Go Dogs!!

elonfirefighter, I'm not trying to spam your board, but for you Elon fans who can't get down to Chucktown and want to watch the game over the internet, check out Bulldog Insider at www.citadelsports.com/. It's only $3.95 for the game. Now, it is our announcers but still it's a whole lot better than just watching live stats and for $3.95 you can't beat the price. Anyway, just trying to be a good neighbor! BOL and Go Dogs!!

heres a fix, put on there video, mute it and our radio, prob solved - LOL... Another close game today...Dogs come out on top 8-6. It was pretty apparent why your head coach let Hensley throw 140 pitches last night. You guys prefer not to have to go to the pen anymore than necessary. Hopefully for us, your Sunday guy won't throw a CG tomorrow like he did last week! Rubber match tomorrow. BOL...Go Dogs!!
