Hoping we have a good turnout for game tomorrow night. Was kind of strange not having band, dancers, cheerleaders, or many students for the Columbia game. Really does seem our team feeds off the crowd energy - we need to pack our fans into every seat and make noise. Also realized at the game yesterday how much we take the band for granted - probably need to do a better job letting them know how much we appreciate what they bring to the game. Loud piped music is a poor substitute for our student musicians.
As for the game itself - while I hated to see us lose the lead and be forced into OT, it was great to see the guys not lose momentum during OT and find a way to get the win. Don't know when Ryan or Ghosh will be back - hopefully soon - but very proud of the way the young guys are playing.

VMI is actually rated higher than when they beat us last year. They will be confident in their ability to compete with us. We need to exact some revenge for the loss last year.

Great game tonight. Played like I expected us to all along. Lots of drives to the basket. Lucas out matching his competition down low and tanner nailing 3s. The ugly was 21 for 38 free throws. We really need to do better than 55% as the season progresses.

Next up is playing in Boulder against CU and I will be going to that one since I live out here in Colorado. I am assuming Matheny was trying to get a game close to home for Samson & Winters, plus CU is a team that is on the rise of late.

Think I saw something about that game being televised on the Pac-12 network...not sure if we have that channel but thinking it may be in our cable lineup. Hopefully the 10-day layoff for exams will also give extra time for injuries to heal. I really like how explosive the entire team is this year - definitely has the most depth of any team I've seen at Elon.

Bhill- I will be at the CU game as well. Making the trek there. Joining a good friend from my Elon days who lives in Boulder at the game.
It will be tough for us to win. But its a great game for us to get ready for GTown and Duke.

I know it doesn't mean much this early in the season, but Colorado sits at RPI 20 right now. It will be a interesting game to watch.

Good to see them playing better. They are two shots away from being 7-2 right now. The guard play has been excellent so far. Hamilton and Eddy both have been really solid at point and Samson has been lights out.
Depth inside is the biggest problem it seems. Troutman has played well. Rebounding looked a little better against VMI, but too many second chance points given up.
Anyone know the plan with Edomwonyi and Winters? Any chance of either of them redshirting?
Go Phoenix!

But going live will be better. Never ventured down to Boulder for a basketball game, but I hear they have a nice stadium.
