Most of the snow has melted (on the roads and sidewalks at least!) and the boys are back at home against Samford tonight. Samford is coming off a loss at App State, but beat Chattanooga before that. Every game is a must-win at this point to keep pace in the SoCon standings.
Good news is, Troutman should be over the flu by now and everyone else has had a week off to get healthy since the game at Furman was cancelled. Should be a fun one tonight. Elon lost by 3 in late January at Samford and needed a big run to come back late.

Solid outing tonight. Quite possibly the most complete game we've played this year. Looks like we're jelling toward the end.

Agreed, I thought the shooting and aggressiveness on offense and defense was the best of the season. I think the switch coach made putting Kevin and Jack in the starting line up has fueled some of this agressiveness. I was really impressed with Dawkins and the minutes he gave us. He is really coming into a comfort zone....noticed at one time in the game coach had no seniors on the court, had Dawkins, Winters, Blake, Samson and Hamilton and they actually increased the lead. One interesting fact is the Sabato did not play.....not sure if illness or the increase in Dawkins minutes. Great win though now we have 3 on the road. Need a great turnout in Greensboro this week of the Maroon and Gold to get us started right.

Another good win. I agree on Dawkins. He's been playing much better. As for Sabato, I think he may have squandered his opportunity. He just wasn't delivering.
It would be nice to see Elon get up to the 3 seed for the SoCon tourney. 2nd could be a stretch at this point.
Go Phoenix!

Agreed on Dawkins and Sabato. We'll have to win out to get 2nd I think. The only game I see the possibility of Davidson losing is to us.

Also, Chatt has GSU, UNCG, WCU and App. Really don't see them losing any of those either. WCU might be a possible loss but they'll have to play better than they have lately.

Anything in the top 5 gets a bye to the quarterfinals. Getting to 2nd or 3rd place would avoid a possible matchup with Davidson (who I think finishes 1st) until the finals as opposed to having them in the semifinals if they get a win in a 4/5 seed game.
Wofford still plays at Davidson and then at Elon, so that is going to be a huge game for the team.
