amford (FCS - AL): Per source, Bobby Blick has accepted the tight ends position at Samford. Blick served as the tight ends coach at Elon the past three seasons, and most recently served as special teams quality control at Georgia Tech over the spring.

VMI got a good one. I would be surprised if he isn't OL coach in short order.

Hamilton was raised in small-town North Carolina, played his college ball at Appalachian State, and coached at Wofford and Air Force before taking over Buc football on Jan. 14, 1997. Before Hamilton left Air Force, he was told a secret: Go to ETSU, do good work, then return and coach the Falcons when you’re ready. Hamilton filed the secret away. He had a dream to pursue. He wanted to bring a Southern Conference championship to ETSU. “I’ve never told many people this, but it will eat away at me forever that we could have won that championship, and we just came up a little short,” said Hamilton, currently the head football coach at NCAA Division II Brevard in North Carolina. “We had the talent. We had the desire. We had the coaches. It would have meant so much to me to bring a Southern Conference championship to Johnson City and the people at ETSU. So much.” It never happened.

is Jerry Tolley still connected to the university? & mayor? I think he might still be involved with certain fund-raising projects, but not certain. Is he still mayor? I don't know.

He no longer works directly for the University, but he is still the Mayor of Elon.

"Red" sighting Yesterday, I spotted a facebook posting of Red Wilson all time winningst coach with Locklear & Oxendine and others probably at Red's home in Pinehurst. He turned Elon's football culture from losing to winning. Dr. "D" gave him the campus tour at night in 1967 . The truth.
