Hello to the Elon football fan community! I'm Brian McLaughlin, the senior writer for FCS with HERO Sports out of Seattle. I'm currently writing a team-by-team series in the Colonial and Elon was published today. I talked to several of the players offered and there is definitely a buzz within the program. My story link is posted at the bottom of this thread .... We'd really like to connect with all of you Elon fans and let you know we're going to cover this awesome level like animals this fall. Last year we were in BETA form.....now we're ready to get after the elite conferences with great fanbases. Thus the reason we're even attacking recruiting. Hope all is well, and please connect with us on Twitter @brianmacwriter and @herosportsnews and email me any time at brian.mclaughlin@herosports.com. herosports.com/news/ncaa-fcs-mens-football/fcs-recruiting-elon-busy-extending-scholarship-offers-recruits-have-noticed

That QB would be a tremendous addition. But I think Elon just got its QB commit for 2017.

Does Elon try at all to bring in transfers?

Does Elon try at all to bring in transfers? Don't think they're in a position to make an attractive target for FBS transfers. Once they (if they) begin to crack the rankings, and crack it consistently, then they become an attractive option for a guy who is looking for playing time and exposure.

Elon's football program has never been a big player in the transfer market. Even when we were good. I can name only one transfer that was a star for us. Terrell Hudgins. I don't really lump him in as a true transfer since he left ECU during summer camp.

When Hamilton was coach, he brought in a running back who was very productive. Blair and Marquis Wright were also solid players. But I do not recall any transfers in the last couple years.
