We simply do not have ANY playmakers or anyone that can make plays .... No go-2 receivers so disappointed I thought We were developing you have to look at the roster and play those guys looking back to busts do not serve our dilemma.

I think Bridges is a playmaker and I think Taylor is too, (both freshmen), although Taylor did drop one on Saturday. The problem is you have to have at least a decent QB to get these guys the ball. Ramseur, (R-freshman), and Joyner, (sophomore), two players that used to have the dropsies, are now doing respectable jobs as well. I think we're about two seasons away from having a top rated CAA defense. We are just one serious hole on O and a season or so of experience on both O & D away from being a top half CAA team.

I wouldn't write off Hughes after 5 plays. He shouldn't have thrown the int for sure. The kid jumped the route which happens when you call the same play twice in a row.
If RS can scheme around a more mobile qb then I would give Hughes a chance. But putting him into the same scheme won't change much.
We scored 3 pts. I suppose we could score 0 which would be worse...

Love the optimism... you have 3 days of practice to get the young man (Hughes) ready with a head coach who is incapable of implementing the correct offensive scheme. This offense will not get fixed until we sign a capable QB to play at this level.
The next 3 games....
Run the power I with double tight ends and pound the ball. There is no other choice and at least we keep the clock running.

It's hard to tell if we have play makers. We rarely get players in space with our scheme. Zero quick slants, zero fly sweeps, zero misdirection and zero down field throws.

Loughery could not beat out Quinn. Tell me how he would have been one of the top QB's in the CAA? Wishful thinking?

And just to think, the 6'6 gunslinger, and cousin of NFL qb Matt Ryan, John Loughery would have been a 5th year senior this year, and one of the best qbs in the CAA. Ashame he was forced out. Hahahahha now that's funny

See unlike most of you, I was on the team. Loughery, undoubtedly had the most talent of any qb on the team. Unfortunately if loughery played over Quinn, and he was successful, Christiansan or Thompson would never have been the guy until loughery graduated. I have never heard of a qb going from d-1AA to D-1, both on full rides. But that is what Loughery did. SKROSKY was not fond of Loughery. But I'm sure you guys no all the facts. Fortunately for loughery he got to play at a better program, and better competition such as Notre Dame. Quite Ironic to be honest. But just keep believing everything your being told my friends.

I agree with you Sir! I saw Quinn, Loughery, CC & DT play. Loughery was far better than any of them. He was told by Skrosky he didn't fit scheme...? thus Temple bound! It hurt me to see him wait patiently for his turn and then showed the door. But one reaps what they sow!

You guys are comical. Loughery was on the team Temple. However, he never threw a pass. He was never going to see the field there. Even though, he had another year of eligibility this season he is now a grad assistant.
I wish him nothing but success as a coach. He earned his degree from Elon and moved on.
Don't try to act like he is some messiah.

Keep dreaming. He spent the season as the #3 quarterback and appeared in one game (Tulane)..... This from his bio. Pretty sure ire he walked on too
