I hate artificial turf. I guess it makes sense from a sustainability perspective but it sucks for injuries and heat release.

I guess it makes sense from a sustainability perspective but it sucks for injuries and heat release. it is crucial to be able tp practice in inclimate weather a lot of rain on practice fields make them unplayable and also winter/ spring workouts takes a big toll on those fields. I Do Love our natural grass game fields as well.

Another reason was a lot of the away games we play at are on Turf. This allows us to get acclaimed to that. Dont quote me but I also believe the end game is an indoor facility

But the next thing coming for sports is supposed to be an indoor pitching/batting facility for baseball. This was pretty much from the horses mouth. ANYTHING can change though.

The UNCW indoor facility was for the comment below in quotes. Big deal if baseball has a turf infield you cannot practice in the snow and ice or cold as crap rain outside that will get athletes sick as dogs. Then they miss class and practice. This is a year round indoor practice facility for UNCW 25,000 square feet for both programs. "I think you're right. But the next thing coming for sports is supposed to be an indoor pitching/batting facility for baseball. This was pretty much from the horses mouth. ANYTHING can change though." uncw.edu/facilities/IndoorHitting.html ***its built already***.

They don’t have a football program to support. More resources to spread around.
