Trisciani. Promoting internally was the best move.

If you guys are good with it, ok. Just looks a little weird that we already lost the entire defensive staff.

Well you know I'm all down about this but it's also good that he can put a lot of his staff together and that may be a little bit of the delay but I'm sure the recruits that we have got verbally for 90% will probably come with us which we will be great and I think for the assistance that Eli is losing its good for them cuz they're going to get a good pay raise

I'm excited about the hire. I like his fire and he seems to have the players' ears.
Time to get behind him and trust in his vision for the program.

Is Shanahan staying too? I guess that helps recruiting as well?

Irrespective of how I feel about TT's preparedness, I will support him 110%. I will donate, cheer and help out in any other way I can to make his coaching tenure a success.
I was sad to hear we were losing Wrobo and Hall. I was hoping these two might stay. The other two Adam Smith mentioned that were leaving - Ryan Smith and Bryant Haines are replaceable.
TT, if you're reading this, I think Ron Mattes, former OL coach here and current OL coach at A&T, would be a great choice to replace Wrobo.

Shanahan is going to jmu. He and Ferguson were with the “traitor” at IUP. Be surprised if that didn’t happen.

From the news conference, at this time about 5 coaches (3 offense, 1 defense and the strength coach) have stayed including OC Folmar. Let's hope Lehigh doesn't grab him as HC. I like hiring from within. And if we can keep Folmar, we shouldn't miss a beat.

I might be in the minority and obviously this is something that could be proven wrong in a few years... but is this the best hire for Elon today and in 3 years? I see why Blank made this move, and understand it but is it really the best move?
Outside of keeping him to keep some of the staff together as well as the recruiting class what other reasons do you all think this is the guy? I am not a fan of always promoting from with in just to keep a recruiting class together which is what this feels like. Cig came in mid/last Dec and still put together a good class and did pretty well. I get also that there is early signing now which makes some difference I know.
Just feels like we did not even put out some feelers on some jobs, and if we did and this was the best guy we could get what does that say about what people think of this opportunity?
I hope he does well, it was a great two years so hope they keep it going. Get his staff in here and get to work.

I've read there were something like 21 FCS head coaching positions open this "off" season.....16 of which have now been filled with a good number of those being inside promotions. It doesn't appear to be uncommon on this level of football. Trisciani has my full support at the moment. He's talented, respected and charismatic.......I think he'll do fine!
