With conference play starting tomorrow what will Elon's Conference record be? How many wins does MM need to not be in jeopardy?

I see a 3 win conference season, giving Matt a 5-24 season against division 1 opponents. He’ll still find his way back for one more year I’m sure. If we think we’re bad this year just wait until next year... UMKC was our first glance at what we can expect next season.

3 conference wins? I certainly hope you’re right. With the way we man handled the team picked preseason bottom of the conference, 3 wins would be a feat.

So finally a conference win and a home win versus a D1 opponent. For a moment it is good to just be happy for the guys that they won a game. They made it a lot harder then it needed to be, but they won. For tonight, that is all that matters.

You do realize they were two missed 3’s from that being a tie game again. Also, how can we not break a basic press.... This staff never fails to amaze me with the incompetence. Enjoy the win, but this season is already over.

I booked at 9:00 AM today so I missed this one. George Mason played them earlier this month and did the same thing. Had things in hand and then let them back in before winning. A win is a win, take it and move on.

7 Conference wins for the guys.
Looks like everyone was wrong in this poll....except one person who knows how to evaluate teams, coaching, conferences, and basketball in general.

As the voter who picked 7. I hate to revel in an awful season. We went 9-20 vs D 1 competition. Worse than last year.
Sure, we won a few games late. Overall, it’s another disappointing season. We can’t reward, feel good or celebrate mediocrity. That’s part of Elon’s problem. We love the press release. We love to play the trumpet. But in reality, we stink. We have been under achieving for two straight seasons and when you look at our program in totality, we stink.
We’ve made a massive investment in this program and we HAVE to expect more. Do we delay the rebuild another year because we won three of four? I say heck no.

Wouldn’t call a team with 3 senior starters winning 7 games in the worst season the CAA has had in the past decade a major accomplishment. Regardless, a 5 win season next year is coming, what are we going to do without Seibring and Santa Ana??
