Just saw the 2 deep for the A&T game. If this is the best 2 deep OL that we can field, we are in trouble. I know that we have a 3 Star that is not even listed ??. Also where is Mac Ingram? And take a gander at the Line backers.

Stars don’t mean crud once you’re on campus.
I have faith our coaching staff know what they’re doing.

I think it's interesting that Jarquez Bizzell beat out Ty Sponseller for the starting WLB job. Sponseller was a FBS transfer from I think Cincinnati? His tape tells a good story about his ability. Also, Idk whether Zach Monson plays MLB or not, but I like him a lot and think he's extremely talented for a Sophomore. Stephen Copeland is listed at the 1st team MLB spot, followed up by Jamir Malone, another very talented LB.
Glad to see Shamari Wingard back in the secondary from injury last season. He's an excellent DB and has had at least one INT in camp that I saw.
The ONLY thing I can think of with leaving McAllister Ingram off of the depth chart is that he's more of a Nickel DB/Bandit player, which kind of overlaps with safety and kind of doesn't, so that position isn't listed. I'm sure he'll get playing time. He IS on the roster itself, AND under the START CHART section.
Also, Mark McGuire, the QB, is taking the 2nd string punting duties. Good for him! That's pretty cool.

I don't put much stock in the two-deep for the first game - my guess is that all these guys will see action, even some guys who are not on the two-deep. And as a correction, QB Mark McGuire is the second string Holder not the punter. The second string Punter is P/K VanSickle. FYI ... Start Chart indicates players who have started a game historically and is not predictive. I think this will be a whale of a game!

Regarding the OL, three very good players are gone but... Nelson and Kowalewski are returning starters. Cromer was an opening-game starter last season before he was injured. Cerimele was listed as the back-up center throughout last season. Only Townsend seems to be a surprise. He may have originally joined the team as a walk-on. It is interesting that two of the back-ups are true freshmen.

Just some FYI Mac Ingram has been nursing a "Hammy" but there are several players NOT on the 2 deep that can and will play. in particular, the defense rotates several guys all over depends on down and distance. remember it's not how you start it's how you finish

I’m excited, but do not feeling good about this matchup.
A&T only gave up about 93 yards a game on the ground last year, and ECU and Jax St both didn’t break 100. With a “new” OL, I doubt the team will be able to get too much on ground. Couple that with the starting QB coming back from a big injury....man I don’t know.
I’m hoping for a “whale” of a game too, but just don’t have a good feeling at the outset.

I never feel confident about the first game of the season. It's just gotta be that we have faith in the process, the coaches, and the players to make it happen. I think the talent and coaching is on our side. But luck could screw us just as it did SDSU tonight. Just gotta keep the faith...

Gotta stay positive. A&T has 7 new starters on offense and defense (14 total). The talent is on our side and now it comes down to execution. If we execute the offensive and defensive game plans flawlessly we will play well.

Elon has been exciting lately when they are motivated and play with great effort and execute and make big plays. That is my mantra to bring a positive vibe. You doubters and naysayers need to adjust your attitudes or go suck eggs, ;-)
