Will Elon bring a thousand fans plus or minus to A&T? Back in my day, it would be like going to the Castaway's right off Bessemer.

It is going to be a long season, without many first downs and lots of sacks.

The guys are battling. All to play for in the fourth.
Much better with the quick passing game.

The performance by our OL is historically bad.

Coach Wrobo the offensive line coach under Schrodski and Cignetti said for years the offensive line takes longer to develop than any other positions on the field. That was true when he was the coach and is true today. We have one of the youngest offensive lines in the CAA and really one of the youngest teams. Overall there was nothing unexpected in the game last night. Our team had a chance to win the game and their defense stopped our offense when they had too and their kicker hit a 52 yard FG that kept the game from OT. Our kids played hard and never quit or gave in. We all know the OL is going to have to get us more first downs and consistent drives. Davis Cheek who played great and made some awesome throws is going to have to throw the ball away sooner rather than take those sacks. He made some beautiful throws and the receivers made some awesome catches. The new kid transfer Luke Hedrick (DB) from Winston Salem is fast and will put a hit on you.

My quick take from last night's game, EXPERIENCE, say it 3 times. Our team can only learn by experience, the coaches can coach from learning through mistakes and knowing what works. As long as this team plays hard and learns We will be in a lot of games and will win. Remember 3 season's ago We won a lot of close games but have been 0-fer in our last several openers Toledo & USF. I thought our D got much better against a pretty good smash mouth A&T running game and our DB's covered well despite some circus catches and well-placed passes. On offense, We have to get better and use our 3 deep #6 has to put his foot in the ground and not hesitate and lost too many yards. #28 has to run north to south. #33 ran a lot hungrier. The OL was not a total disaster but needs to get better and I believe our short passing game might loosen up that hard rush We will now be getting a draw play can also be very productive. Davis Cheek has to be PROTECTED say that 3 times and maybe they should get a tattoo on their forheads stating that. As for the Elon Phoenixx Phans, they got a great Experience at A&T. The Aggie Pride was everywhere and for the most part the game day experience is one of the tops in FCS. The A&T band and the students experience was super. The Elon Fans were scattered around a 20k crowd. But students were bussed in and the Parents Always show up. I hope our Tailgated for Alums continues and continues to improve. Although pricey $20 to park it was secure and the food caterers did not suck. We simply have to show up at WFU & Richmond, ETc. I expect improvement vs The Citadel next Saturday's home opener We need 10k plus there.
