I was there. Up close & personal. I can accept they were tired & hot. I also noticed the play calling. But, to say they were not distracted in the 4Q is erroneous. I'll leave it at that. Last week doesn't matter except to learn from. On to JMU. not so fast. I could care less about hot and tired its football. The 4th quarter score was 7-0 wake. How about an example of distraction in the 4Q to your point above? Offense or defense? We threw 1 pass play and we gave up 1 touchdown. I think the reason that you only saw one pass play in the 4Q was because we took Cheek out to prevent accidental injury (especially since we knew we wanted to run the ball). It made more sense for Baughman to be in there to facilitate the run option better. Passing when you're down by that much is a fool's errand because you embrace the possibility of a turnover, which is the LAST thing you want when trying to run the clock. We just wanted to get out of there without any injuries, it's that simple.

Little tip if your going to talk smack and pretend to be from our Team, don't do it from JMU's on campus computer. IP addresses are a wonderful thing

Guys we are 2 Days Away! Lets get hype!! What do yall think we can count on seeing during this game? I know we will be starting off strong on offense and trying to keep the plays short on D. And you know Skyler has got one hell of a leg and will be able to keep the score close with field goals if needed, but what else are we lookin at here?

And you know Skyler has got one hell of a leg and will be able to keep the score close with field goals if needed, but what else are we lookin at here? Learning from last week at Wake Forest, I think the coaches will be focusing on stopping them from having "big plays", meaning runs +12yds and passes +15yds. If we do this correctly, we won't give up too much strength in the box because we can trust our corners to take away the long ball, we can trust our DLine to stop the easy runs, and can trust our LBs to get sideline-to-sideline on sweeps and screens. Where this breaks down is if we try too hard to stop the big plays and let them gain 4.5 ypc running and 9 ypa passing since we just let them have the screen passes and let them do the standard RPO that we do. They always say, "take what the defense gives you", in the RPO scheme. Well, we can't "give" them anything, we need to disguise coverages and take away the easy yards. Make them earn it!
