So yesterday in an exhibition, Elon lost to Gardner-Webb (2019 Big South Champ) in overtime 68-71. Sheffield led the team with 18 points. McIntosh had 36 minutes, Woods had 24 minutes, and Ervin had 19 (So newcomers had 50% of all possible minutes and 55% of points). Is there much to be taken from exhibition? stats.statbroadcast.com/broadcast/?id=283058

It's hard to take too much from the box score - other than it's clear Sheffield will have a big role in this offense. I'd love to hear from anyone who was there what their impressions are. G-W is a good team, so you'd like to be excited that it was close, but Duke only beat Northwest Missouri State (a DII school) by 6 and I don't think that's really indicative of where either team is in relation to each other.

Not surprised about McIntosh. Looked like the real deal when we got the commit, I think he'll be a solid contributor early.

Is Poser injured? He did not play.

I really hope Poser isn't seriously injured, if at all. An insider told me he is by far the most improved player on the team.

Something I found interesting in the box score....Elon out-rebounded GWU. The margin last year was a deficit.
