Holy moly that's a good class. I knew these players were good, but I think this is a 1st for Elon. 2 players ranked in the top 60 nationally at their positions and the other 36 in the midwest. Nice!

Amazing work from the staff. They operate on a different level.

Agreed. This looks like a good group. Glad to see they are trying to address some of the size issues.
If Poser can continue to develop on top of what he's already done in the offseason, adding Graham to the mix could really help significantly.
I'm still unclear on how well we'll do in the CAA this year, but the future looks bright.
Go Phoenix!

Same here.....some struggles with the D2 opponents (IUP and Mars Hill) have me a little pessimistic. Those are upper tier D2 teams, but I feel like those games shouldn't be that tight. Things could start to gel though and the team will be dangerous when they hit a groove. They out shot GT by 21 baskets. Hit just 8 more of those 74 shots and it's a totally different ball game (obviously).

I'm impressed with the class and fully expected Schrage to be a significant upgrade in the recruiting department.
I don't like oversigning though and with a three man class, if everyone returns, they're one over the limit. It means either they're planning to Crean a kid (as in Tom Crean who is notorious for oversigning and then pushing kids out of his program) or they already know someone is leaving and that's almost always a bad situation all around if that's the case.

I don’t like “Creaning”, but there are a couple of players that need to go. Not mentioning names, but it’s obvious if you follow Elon MBB closely. They were very simply poor signings by the previous regime.

From what I know, he will not be oversigning or pushing kids out. If you take a look at the roster and depth. There will be three open scholarships.

It's absolutely an oversign. Maybe it resolves itself naturally and that's great if it does, but it's not a good look to sign three when there are only two open scholarships.

With Priddy leaving that leaves one open scholarship now. Sheffield and Fuller will leave two more for a total of three. No oversign. There could also be two additional scholarships available for next year.

Fuller has a year of eligibility remaining.
Y'all can try to polish it up as much as you want, it's a bad look.

There is no guarantee for a 5th year for any player who redshirted anywhere at any program in the country. He got 4 years as a scholarship player, and hopefully will be graduating. It is entirely possible he doesn't want to return for a 5th year after graduating anyway, but I see no problem with it even if he does.

Not sure how planning is a bad look, but to each their own.
This staff is working really hard to get some great athletes here.

Not sure how planning is a bad look, but to each their own. This staff is working really hard to get some great athletes here. Planning and oversigning are two different things. This is going to become exhibit A in negative recruiting against Elon in the future when a kid narrows his choices to Elon and one or two other schools. This staff is far better at recruiting than the previous one, and I am sure understands it's going to happen, but it's still going to happen. Whatever. All y'all are good with oversigning and I'm not. Let's move on. It's a great recruiting class.
