Just a reminder that if you have the ACC Network you can stream this game at espn.com or on the ESPN app! Depending on where you live, you can also watch it on TV on Fox Sports Carolinas (and possibly Fox Sports South although I can't confirm that).
A lot of tough games to start the season...looking forward to see how we stack up in conference play where things will slow down a little bit.

The announcer keeps referring to a player named “Cole Amfunny” who is that? Apparently he has 5 points tonight.

Really proud of the effort tonight. A respectable performance and a lot to build on for this season.
The rest of the OOC schedule should tell us a lot more. A lot of winnable games.
Go Phoenix!

Agreed. Very respectable showing at UNC. Love the clip of Sheffield dunking on the UNC guy! Only big negative is rebounding....huge deficit there, otherwise solid performance! Sure wish Sheffield had another year here. He's fun to watch.

Very proud of the guys - Players and coaches. Holding a UNC team to 75 is a serious accomplishment. Rebounding is and transition is what UNC does, do the rebounding deficit was expected. If we get to the point we can hit 40-45% from the field, watch out! We continue to get tons of great looks. We’re also doing well at defense for the last 3 games. Very pleased.

Always proud of players who compete for Elon. In reality, Elon is currently placed down at 327th in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s college basketball rankings. We are going to have trouble this season as we rely heavily on Marcus Sheffield II. Thank god Stanford over signed players. We are thrilled to have him. The Phoenix' are struggling in a big way in the offensive end, averaging only 69 points, ranking us 240th overall. They are allowing an average of 68 points, positioning them 177th in D1. We are pleased our defense held a UNC team which hasn't scored above 80 pts the entire season to 75 pts. We have a freshman point guard who is shooting 25% from the floor with 9 assists and 8 turnovers in a system the PG doesn't handle the ball nearly as much as our past offensive system. Our team has only 18 assists to 31 turnovers this season. I have observed a greater emphasis on defense than the shooters chance we brought to the table previously. I am pleased with movement of program with fingers crossed. I think basement of CAA is an accurate expectation for this season.

I expect our offense to improve significantly now that those early P5 games are out of the way. We were at a serious size/strength/length/speed disadvantage, not terribly surprising that we struggled to score. I expect this will actually turn out to be a good shooting team.
Assists will probably increase as all the new guys gel and the freshman adjusts to the college level of play.

I get what you’re saying, but last year we lost to UNC by 49 points in our house and gave up in the first 5 minutes, which was our norm. I’m pretty encouraged with a loss to the #5 team in the nation by only 14 points. If for no other reason, our effort against all odds is impressive.. I could certainly be wrong, but I seriously doubt we’ll finish last in the conference.
