You haven't seen Hensley throw once this year have you? Not only is he "under control" but he has dominated in every Southern Conference start until this one. Why do you think he came in to close against Clemson last week? That game was important enough to Kennedy that he was willing to put Hensley out of his routine to wrap it up (and maybe it was his day to throw but there's a huge difference between game situations and the bullpen).
There are some parts of this team that are worthy of a bit of criticism, but when you criticize Hensley, that's just laughable.

Adam, there is a flaw to your logic.....this team could have losing record, but STILL win the SoCon. Furman won it as an 8-seed. If that makes you happy, then you're head is really screwed up. I'd be celebrating, but that would be short lived because we would have been lucky.
Its not the pessimism that gets people. Its the fact that when something good happens (i.e. Elon winning the SoCon title), all we hear about is how the SoCon didn't give them top billing on the website. (That was warranted....I was a bit disappointed by that, too.) No great victory or anything like that.
Judging from your mannerisms, a win at Elon is a loss and a loss for you is a win because you feast on that....it makes you thrive.
Honestly, dude, I'm not buying your crap about Hensley. Give me a break. I could understand criticizing him last year because at times, he needed it, but this is freaking ridiculous. If you're going to criticize, go after those BAD parts of the team. And honestly, they are out there. You're not going to win that argument with an Elon fan or any fan.
Its like that time I called in to the Generals broadcast asking if Kurt Drummond getting into a fight near the bench put his team in danger: Arley was like, "Absolutely not." I got a lot of flack for asking an antagonizing question like that. You know I have been in your position before.
Its not about saying what's popular, because there are a lot of times where the popular thing to say is nowhere near what is best. You're on a quest to find that right thing to say that is popular and you are nowhere close. Sorry man, you're not fooling me....and I'm a harsh realist...just ask my friends...even some of the people on this board.
They do deserve hell a good chunk and heck, losing to Princeton, A&T, and Furman have burned the desire out of me. We do have high expectations and we are not meeting them.....HOW'S THAT FOR REALITY?
I've said it once and I'll say it again...you'd be right if you worded you argument differently. This seems to be a common theme sadly.

What the hell did I say wrong about Hensley? I gave him props for beating Clemson and I made this coment:
"and I thought Hensley would have gotten himself under control by now, but I guess not."
Meaning, I would think we starting as much as he does and having things on his shoulders as much as he does that he wouldn't let an umpire get to him this late in the second season. That was a lack of control, last Friday.
You know OTA, you criticize players and whoever you want and then get mad when someone else does it? Pot meet kettle.
I mean, what the hell do you guys want from me? I give teams props for winning. Gave the Tennis team props. And then mentioned that the SoCon dumped them. Well guess what, the SOCON DID dump on them. I criticized the school and every other team this year for basically being a let down. Last year I was on top fo the world with the success.
Whatever guys. You want to be pissed because I make a negative post. Fine. But at least get your facts straight.
This is my last post - some of you should jump for joy over that.

Adam, you can't honestly think that everyone on this board is wrong. You don't see any other person getting singled out on nearly every board they post on. Your posts are all pessimism, which I can live with, but your tone is confrontational and implies that everyone on this board is too stupid to see the athletics program as you do. You've taken this me against the world approach that naturally is going to spawn extreme responses from us. Quite honestly it's bordering on trolling and you have become exactly what your buddy (JCline) is on the App side of the house.
I'm frustrated by the whole thing because you were the reason the Elon message board is as big as it is today, but then you yank the rug out from under all the Elon fans when you take down the other board because you couldn't handle losing. I know the whole story about server problems, but anyone in their right mind doesn't buy that story. You completely misguided your anger at the other Elon fans, which makes no sense.
Everyone on this board wants Elon to be successful and realize that things are perfect, but that's being a fan at any level. There will always be room for improvement and you have to accept that. So either register for the site and contribute by the same rules you established on elonfans.com (you owe that courtesy to the moderators) or stop posting if the trials and tribulations of Elon athletics really cause you as much as stress as your posts imply. Having met you a few times, I want you to hang around because I know you really do care (maybe too much sometimes), but you have to be able to admit that your posting the past year has been antagonistic. I have made posts out of frustration as well, but those shouldn't be the rule or no one is going to take you seriously.
Anyhow, please decide one way or the other because I'd rather talk about the teams than your dissappointment and threatening to leave AGAIN!!!
Go Phoenix!
