Went to look to see if there is any word about Chad on the Jags website. “Chad has been a surprise because it’s a position switch we made at the start of training camp. He’s flashed and he doesn’t look out of place back there at safety,” Smith added of Nkang, who moved from linebacker to strong safety.
“It gives us a chance to know where we are right now; show what we can do,” Nkang, a seventh-round pick, said of the preseason.Chad a surprise? Did they really think he was going be be a LB in the pros? I think most of us knew he would play safety. He's quick with a big hit. Chad's bio is also up with a new head shot. Anyone think he'll make a trip down to Tampa? The regular season doesn't start until the 9th and the Jags play my 'Skins in the final pre-season game on the Thursday (Aug 30) before the Elon/USF game. Be great to see him on the sidelines! www.jaguars.com/Team/Player.aspx?id=2728

Chad survives the first round of cuts. Hopefully he can make the final 53...

Most fans on the jags site seem to think he will and like seeing him play on special teams.

The last time I looked Chad was still on the depth chart - 4th on strong safety - I'm assuming that this means he has avoided any cuts so far. Any news to the contrary?

The Jags and Skins are still in the first half tonight and Nkang has 2 tackles and 1 assist. He's getting some time early tonight. Let's hope this is a sign of good things for him.
Go Phoenix!

Big test will be on Saturday, as that's when teams make roster cuts down to 53.

Check this link: www.nfl.com/teams/statistics?team=JACIt looks like Chad is 7th on the list with 10 tackles 7 solo 3 assists. He had a pretty good game last night. Hopefully this will keep him on the team.

www.jaguars.com/news/article.aspx?id=6280Congrats to Chad as it appears he has made the team. I was surprised to see Gattis cut get as he was ahead of Chad on the depth chart. Anyway, a great day for Chad Im sure.

With Sensabaugh out for the season, hoepfully Chad picks up some downs at SS. He's second on the Jags depth chart now.
