Elon men's basketball is back at home this week on Monday and Tuesday night against Metro State (#1 ranked Division II team in the nation out of Denver) and Georgia State. Both games will start at 7:30 PM. Two really tough games for Elon. Will be interesting to see if they can bounce back from two tough losses at Rutgers in the first round of the NIT.
Since these games weren't on the team's home schedule originally, they weren't on the season ticket package. Tickets are $15 per session, $10/session if you're a season-ticket holder. Students get in free.
NIT Season Tip-Off Schedule:
Monday, Nov. 25 Canisius vs. Georgia State - 5:00 PM Elon vs. Metro State - 7:30 PM
Tuesday, Nov. 26 Canisius vs. Metro State - 5:00 PM Elon vs. Georgia State - 7:30 PM

I had a feeling that was going to happen tonight. Metro State is a good team and not your typical DII opponent. You can't spot them 15 pt leads. The Elon bigs are getting outplayed every game.
At the end of the season this loss likely won't matter, but the team is not playing up to their potential right now. The whole SoCon is a mess right now.
Let's see if they can turn it around against Ga State tomorrow night.
Go Phoenix!

I did too. This is now 3 of the last 4 that we should have won. And now the team is looking to be in a corner. We have got to turn the corner and stop this kind of thing if our programs are ever to make headway and step up to the next level.

To many silly turnovers, and the defense seems really soft to me. I figured they would be 5-1 by now. Surprising.

Finally hung on to one. Looking at the game updates I had forgotten that former Kentucky player Ryan Harrow transferred to Georgia State. He had 34, but Elon had balance with 6 players in double figures.
