Sebastian scored 27 on NINE treys against Colorado earning him the SoCon Player of the Week this week. Someone on the Davidson board a couple of weeks ago said that Koch would be a pivotal player for Elon this year because several of our players are reaching or have reached their peak. I completely agree. And if the Colorado game is a preview of what Koch will continue to do over the next 3 1/2 months, Elon could be almost a shoe in for the SoCon championship and perform well in the NCAA tournament. Here's the article: elonphoenix.com/news/2013/12/17/MBB_1217130013.aspx?path=mbball

Congrats to Sebastien. While I agree that he is pivotal and has played well as of late, his play alone doesn't make us a shoe in for a SoCon title. Outside of Troutman the inside game is virtually nonexistent and the rebounding margin in the Colorado game was astounding (54-27). Elon is 3rd to last in the nation in offensive rebounds at last check. I know the FG% is pretty high, but when they miss there have been no 2nd chances.
I'm still optimistic mainly because the SoCon is awful this year and several guys are playing well, but Sebastien's not going to hit 9 3's every game.
I hate to even think about next year on the inside without Troutman.
Go Phoenix!
