Always good to win even against a team they historically dominate. Campbell was a pretty good team last year that finished with a really good record but missed the tourney because they had a really weak schedule. I think they return a lot of their pitching but that is probably weekend guys, so we will see how tomorrow goes.

Good win to extend it to a five game winning streak. No errors, only 3 walks though a few hit batters. Elon left 15 on base but also got out of a couple jams - all in all a good win.
Samford coming up this weekend.

Yeah, that sucked. Hopefully they get hot in Charleston because that's starting to look like the only route to the tourney.

Yeah - that was terrible. At this point there just aren't enough opportunities for quality wins left out there to build the resume for an at-large bid so going to take a run in the SoCon tourney to make it happen.

It hurts because it was fueled by errors as opposed to them just getting base hits.

Looks like things got a little heated during the game vs. UNC last night. 4 games left this season before the tournament. Need to win all 4 to get to 30 wins. Also it looks like Gomez has been kicked off the team for violating athletic department rules.  |

I was back in the area for a trip, so I went over to the game...
There was a lot of gamesmanship from the coaches and depending on what side of the fence you are on I could see the argument both ways. UNC was up 12-6 in the 9th with 2 outs and had a pinch runner come in and steal a base. A pitch then ran up and in on the next batter and Fox took exception to it - Fisher had already hit 2 guys in the inning at this point and Fox didn't want his players getting hurt. The pitch was probably a result of Kennedy taking exception to a steal that late in a game that was well in hand. They yelled back and forth a bit and then had some more to say after the handshake and even were restrained by their assistants. All the UNC fans seem to think that is the end of our home-and-home weekday series.
