OC or not, QB that can run or not. The truth is, you have to convert and win to keep the hearts of the fans.
Right now, seeing the play calling, seeing the QB play, seeing the big plays given up...... I am not sure I see a win on our schedule this year.
This is a real possibility, sit ant let that sink in a second..... Higher RPI, better team than last year, closer games and 0 wins.
Right now, of the teams on your schedule Coastal is leaps and bounds better, UNCC has 20 more scholarships, and we have a rough CAA schedule that is missing Rhode Island.

In other words:
We are on an 8 game losing streak stretching back to last season.
We have lost 11 of our last 12 games stretching back 2 seasons 16 of out last 18 games stretching back 3 seasons
And this year we could go 0-fer and be a better team overall.
At this point Massey has us 76 in FCS and Sagarin has us 200 for D-I. That, overall, is worse than last year.

I've had the privlidge to watch Chistiansen play the last few years at Fishers and can't help think that he might be the answer at QB. He's not afraid to run, and did so pretty well in HS. And when the 2nd team was moving the ball on the 1st team in the scrimmage, he was the QB. Hes a leader. Players want to play with him. He's got it. Listen to how coach has talked about him. He would be a better option if it wasn't for wanting to preserve the red shirt.
Ps. I admit to being fairly biased.

How about his shoulder? I heard he was headed for the mid level FBS before the injury. I hear it was a fairly substantial injury.

I'm no doctor, but The shoulder is fine. His sophomore year he broke his collarbone on a blindside hit and missed the end of the season. That has been his only major injury. Again, I am biased, but the kid won the Golden Gun award at the Midwest Elite 11 camp (Award for accuracy). His arm is fine. Check out his senior highlights on YouTube. Multiple 30,40,50 yard throws on the money. Mostly to J-Shun Harris who is now at Indiana.

Christiansen should and probably be red-shirted. Let him grow and mature. It will pay dividends for our also our interior linemen and where We have some depth. Injuries always happen but some of our best performers turned out to be 5th yr guys.

Your QB looked like he had decent speed on the busted play that resulted in a 20 yard scamper. I would have definitely told him to keep the ball on that read option at least a couple of times just to test our defensive ends and outside linebackers. That is the same thing that got Jim Grobe fired at Wake last year: running a read option offense where the QB never keeps the ball. All in all, I thought your offensive coordinator was the main reason you lost the game Saturday. Got way too vanilla whenever Elon crossed our 20 yard line. Not creativity whatsoever. It was either run the ball up the middle or throw a fade route in the corner of the endzone. There is no way you should be settling for 5 field goal attempts against an opponent that has the quick-strike scoring ability that A&T has. It was only a matter of time before we were gonna convert on a big play. Looking back I think you have to give credit to your DB's but our misdirection was very effective. Broadway has gotten your ship turned around. Do not let the powers at A&T screw it up again.

Regarding your is it possible questions. The answer is yes those things are possible but that is not what happened. Ok, McGuire is a Jr. and Acha is a So. They have 2 and 3 years respectively. Sowell is a Sr. and Ingle is a Jr. They are starters. They have 1 and 2 years respectively. So, I'm not sure I completely understand your " My beef is with the coaches for developing guys for the future and not putting the best guys out there now so we can win." comment. Also, regarding these two statements: "What is the agenda? No one asks because the O-line in invisible to most of you except when their playing poorly yet you don't notice the change in personnel." And "Regarding your is it possible questions. The answer is yes those things are possible but that is not what happened." I AM asking! So, what, in your opinion, is the agenda? What did happen? It sounds like you've got something you want to say, but for some reason you aren't saying it.

I thought he tore a labrum last year & had surgery. Is this incorrect? This is correct. Torn labrum in 2nd quarter of a playoff game. Played the rest of the game. He is fully recovered. Arm is as strong as ever. Shoulder as stable as ever - if not more so. I think his big issue is getting bigger to ensure he survives a season.

He will need this time to develop as a practice player to play him now is a total waste of talent, just chill out and go cheer for the team.

I would second the getting bigger part. He is thin. At 6'0" he probably needs to pack on another 10-15 lbs of muscle & let the connective tissue in his shoulder continue to heal. I look forward to seeing him compete for a starting position in the 2015 summer camp.

I'm actually quite chilled and I will be in the stands Saturday cheering for the team.
