Any insights into the game this weekend? I don't know much at all about Northwestern or their schemes. They were picked to finish 13th in the Big Ten and their wins so far have come against McKendree, Houston Baptist and Brown.

I remember last time Elon played there I felt optimistic and they got trounced. That was a much bigger Northwestern team though. It looks like Elon matches up well with this team, so it'll be interesting to see if they can make some noise. It would be nice to get the win with two more very winnable games following in Ohio and Cancun.

Our defense will be the key to staying in all of the games early this season. As they mature in the motion offense, I expect this team will make some noise. It all depends on how rapidly they figure the system out. I'm being optimistic and hopeful for a win this time.

Harvard tore up FAU last night.
The defense is looking pretty good at the moment, judging by the UNCC game alone. Charlotte blew a big lead and nearly let it slip away against Penn St.
I sincerely hope the positives we saw versus Charlotte are of good things to come. Everyone, even me, thought this was going to be a terrible season, and looking at the team early on, I think I may have been wrong.

Trying to put a positive spin on it, Harvard was ranked 25th in the country before their last loss. So one would expect them to do well against a team like FAU.

Tough loss today...led most of the game and up 8 with under 4 remaining, but couldn't pull it out in OT. Lopsided on the trips to the line, which shouldn't be a surprise whenever you play at one of the major conference teams. Despite, they outplayed them most of the game. Sampson and Bryant looked really good.

curious to see how the team bounces back from this loss, would have been a great banner win for the program...too bad!Didn't watch the Northwestern game, but the stats (minutes played / shots specifically) tells me that Bryant is most versatile offensive threat...exciting, but as a true freshman he also had 8 turnovers...he is a player though. Samson is by far our best three point threat and i'm fine with him taking 10-15 threes a game.

So far we are playing fairly competitively considering what we lost this year. Let's hoep we can keep it up.
