Elon survived a layup and a 3 pt attempt with under 7 seconds to go to beat KSU 67-65

And Freshman oops, first year player Elijah Bryant scores 25. If the rest of the team had stepped up the way he did this wouldn't have been close. However, it seems that our boys absorbed the shock of our best player going down and survived another one on the road.

Glad to see the team keep fighting and play hard. Really sluggish start, but once again they made adjustments and were able to control the game after the first 10 minutes or so. Bryant definitely put on a show and Winters was more effective today than he has been as of late. Solid FT shooting as well.
Happy holidays! Hopefully no Christmas dinner hangover for Elon on Sunday.
Go Phoenix!

Looks like K-State was without 2 players, one of them being a 6'10" presence in the post.
I hope the guys coming out swinging and win big versus Marist.

Looks like K-State was without 2 players, one of them being a 6'10" presence in the post. While this may be true, We were without arguably our best player overall in Luke Eddy and our only real post player in Brian Dawkins. So, it's all relative.

Marist seems to have come upon hard times the last couple of years. Their current RPI is somewhere in the 300's, and I think they've only won 1 game but that was against Fresno State - a pretty decent program. So, if the guys focus and play to their capability we should have no problem. But, If we're suffering from a turkey tumor and a tryptophan hangover, this could be a classic trap loss.
