This should be a tougher game than Drexel primarily because they have a full compliment of players. They rotate 9/10 players. I don't think their top players are as good as Lee and London on Drexel's team, but they won't be as prone to being winded. McGlenn, a 6'2" guard is their top scorer followed by Davis. Parker-Rivera, a 6'7" forward, has 17 blocks on the season. Foster at 6'8" is their tallest regular player and is listed as a forward/center.
Their current RPI is 235 and we are 193, so we are in the same neighborhood.
I think that if we have a FULL TEAM EFFORT like we did against Drexel we will take this one to come back home at 2-0 in the conference.

24-8 822 left in the first half. 15-8 rebounding both to Towson. Everything Saturday was Monday is not. Phoenix have forgotten how to play.

Good news - We held Towson to 38.3% field goal shooting, Bad news - we shot 35.1%. Samson was 1-11 in 3 pt. shooting with about 5 air balls. 50% from 3 pt. range on Saturday, 19% tonight. We continue to be able to come back strong after large deficits - we were down by 18 points with 8:03 left in the 1st. But the problem is that we keep allowing large deficits. I'm not sure why we are so darned ice cold in the beginning of the first period. When we play 40 minutes, even 30 minutes we're nearly unstoppable. but taking 12 to 15 minutes off in a game is killing us. That may have worked in the SoCon. Ain't gonna work in the CAA.

We really missed Eddy last night, when the shots are not falling, having someone who can take it strong and create off the dribble is extremely beneficial - Bryant can also do this but for whatever reason was not as effective as normal last night (1-6 from the free throw line was uncharacteristic of him as well). If Tanner and Elijah combine for 7-28 from the field I would not expect us to win, much less be competitive...the fact that we battled back and made a game of it is encouraging. We have a good young team, not a great team...yet.
I expect us to struggle again against W&M, but being that it's home and coming off a poor outing at Towson, we might be able to pull off the upset...

Tough night. I believe the key to this team winning more is the play in the front-court. We are getting very little production. We are going to have some nights where we shoot it well and win. However, the team needs to get points from the post. Being a guard dominated team works only part of the time. Last night was an example.
Hopefully, we get something from Anton and Sabato in the coming weeks.

That's one reason we're missing Dawkins so much. We need an aggressive presence at the post. We don't need a superstar there either, just a strong presence that can score between 8 and 10 a game and deter the opponents' inside game. Sabato is there but is drawn to fouling easily, and Anton needs a little more muscle and aggressiveness. I think Anton will shape up and become a solid player in time.

Thinking about what we have now with a healthy Eddy & Dawkins plus Lucas & Riley... Scary.
All Due respect to Riley and Lucas, but if we had just a healthy Eddy and Dawkins right now would likely be in the top tier of the CAA. Lots of explosiveness.

Tough loss.
I do feel good about the program headed toward the future. Looks like we have some real, and young, talent.

Saw Bill and Merry play ODU a few weeks back and they are a pretty solid team. The key is to not let Marcus Thornton go off and score a bunch of points. He is a real good player. Not as big inside as they usually are so beat them on the boards. Good luck, beat their butts.
