Homer, you're right, that would be significant. We need CC starting You and I may think so, but we are functionally irrelevant. It'll be interesting to hear what Skrosky has to say in the teleconference Monday.

I'm sorry but once again we were just out matched. Once again a team has a running back that is far superior than anyone we have and honestly the back up for WM might be better. They looked much faster than us all day. Tough losing the freshman lineman Toogood. Hopefully nothing serious. Our linebackers looked very slow. Once again we looked very small compared to WM. I think our size, speed and physicality have been the biggest mismatch since joining the conference. Our secondary looks rather bare as who we have noworked isn't really getting it done and don't see much in the lower classes to really get me excited. I know we had 5 Ints last weekend but I think Williams HS varsity team could have done that.
Bright sides: Summers looked to be running the ball very hard. Much better then he was earlier in the season. I think our WRs played better and showed some glimmers of what could be... Thomas actually looked like an athlete on the field which is great to see. We have 3 guys in this freshman class at WR that could be good in a year or two. QB play was average. I think CC gives the better option to pass and run. However Thompson I still think is the better QB.
Could we win the last two. Yes. We could also lose them very easily. The Towson win is starting to actually look like a good win. They are 2 wins from having a shot at the playoffs. Looks like 3 teams will get in this year. Richmond losing was a surprise but they could still win the conference. Richmond and WM are playing the last week so could be a conference championship game.

I have a question in regards to attendance and crowd. Does anyone think or know if our marketing department does a good job? I feel like at times they do some good work but it never is really to entice a crowd to show up at the games. Do the students have a incentive or reward program for coming to games or other athletic events?

I can say I have been to a few away games at other schools in our conference and the attendance has not been that great either. Stony Brook, very few students. UNH- they have a larger student body but almost all of the student section was out of there by half time..and they were winning. W & M, average attendance last year. There seems to be very little support for our athletes by the student body.

I recorded the game and watched it again yesterday, after having watched it in person Saturday. My impression was that for the first quarter of the game, the Tribe simply DID NOT MAKE ONE MISTAKE, especially on offense. I would defy any team in the FCS to have stopped them in that first drive. Sometimes we deserve to have our butts kicked for poor play & sometimes you've just got to tip your hat in appreciation of good play. We were pretty much playing "bend don't break" defense in the first quarter and they bent us right into the end zone twice.
The last three quarters were pretty much what I had hoped for against W&M. Summers looked good. Run blocking looked better. The WRs and TEs did a good job making plays. CC looked decent. He still misses the target occasionally, but he's getting better. There would have been a couple more big plays if CC had led the receiver just a little better.
I hate seeing us get our butts kicked so badly early in the game, but this team continues to battle until the last whistle, and is, IMO, making good progress. I'm still being a wimp and riding the fence on the QB question. I think I could have played QB successfully during the last 3 quarters with the way the receivers were making plays. Thomas will be a superstar if he keeps improving: great hands, athletic, makes defenders miss, speedy.

Not a bad promo, but why only one point for football games? That's where we need student support the most. Should be 25 points per football game especially since there is only one more home game left!!

WRs and TEs played well. TEs very consistent, good hands and never dropped the ball. Made the plays.

Maybe not 25 points but add scan your card on exit and get 10-15 bonus points. Make sure they stay the entire game.

And I am doubtful we beat Delaware or Maine I'm not. I have a good feeling about the final two. And if, if, they do win those two, that gives them 5 wins on the year. That's not incremental gains. That's significant. If... Same here. My gut let me down this past weekend, but that's ok. The team will be in these last 2 games, no doubt about it. 5 wins on the year is definitely attainable.

Do they rank strength of schedule for FCS schools like elon? W&M is a top 10 team in the country, same with JMU and Richmond. And UNH just beat Richmond and was ranked #20 when we played them. It's hard to measure growth of a program in wins with that kind of schedule. Also, worth noting that NC A&T is 8-1 and ranked #19 in the country...that's 5 ranked teams on our schedule, and no surprise we have five loses (not counting Wake)...
I think we win out and finish 5-6 and head into 2016 as a real contender to win the CAA.
Agree? disagree?

We have the potential of being a contender in 2017. I think 2016 will be a stepping stone year. I think it will be the first year we have a winning record, but not a contender. I could see a 7+ win season in 2017.
Although It would be a very pleasant surprise if we contend for a conference championship next year.

Interesting thoughts. Look back to comments after the JMU game and compare. I do believe there is reason for optimism.

SoS is a losers arguing point. We played a bunch of ranked teams, and lost to all of them
