At this time it looks as if rain might hold off until Saturday. This helps lower the chance of delays that could force a team to play a double header due to a night game getting moved till the next morining

6 walks in 3 IP was not Ealfante's night. Hopefully we can get our bats to light up and get back into this

Same ole story. We set a record for walks in a game from our pitching staff. Could not hold a lead.
We just can't find consistency on the mound. We had CoC beaten more than once.
So frustrating.

And there it is. A disappointing end to another rough year for our big three sports. Football, basketball and baseball. Ugh.

Not surprised after the showing last weekend against Richmond. They walked 41 batters in the last 4 games. That's just unacceptable at any level. There is talent on the team outside of pitching, but it has to completely take the wind out of the sails to have a big inning and then watch the pitcher walk the bases loaded immediately after. I think the most frustrating thing is not only are veteran pitchers not getting better, they are worse by the end of their career than they are when the arrived in many cases. i.e. Bakker, Stalzer, Elefante, etc.
Anyhow, touch to watch yesterday, especially when you know exactly what's going to happen before the game starts and then sure enough.
Go Phoenix!

shame, our offense was scoring yesterday(Game 1), but walks and errors put runs on the board for the other team

We're screwing up looking for 6'4" pitchers who can "intimidate" versus taking the 5'11" - 6'1" guys who can actually pitch. The 6'4" guys who can pitch are at UNC, NCSU, Vandy, USC etc. Once again, making assumptions has bitten us badly in the butt.
