I would rank us last too. The new arena and a move toward better coaching is a good start. But with information over the past 10-15 years, it's hard to argue with his rating. If we can increase expenditures even to the average of the CAA and Blank does his job in finding a suitable coach, I think we could move into the top ten relatively quickly.

Elon as a program, new gym...salary, is not the worst job in NC.
Most challenging job to win and get a promotion....you could argue that.

-Gardner Webb: last 5 years - 1 losing season, 2 with 20 wins, NCAA tournament bid -NCCU: last 5 years, 3 tournament bids -N.C. A&T: went from a 3 win season, to a 20 & 19 win season respectively -HPU: Did pretty well under Scott Cherry overall. Regressed his last 2 years. 1 game over .500 this year. -Campbell: 3 straight winning seasons. 20 wins this year.
Looks like the only team with little success over the last 5 has been our former conference breathern, App St. Cloest they’ve had to a winning record over the last 5 years was 2017-18 (They finished 3 games under .500). Charlotte has been bad too.

getting waxed by regular season CAA cellar dweller UNCW in Tournament also made our grave but winning in B/Ball is so quick to turn things around. Look to Duke and UNC as up and comers and they are less than an hour away.

Probably the only D1 program in NC that has offered only partial scholarships for the past three years. Certainly the only CAA program offering only partial scholarships.

I am not going to say this is wrong... but I highly doubt it is correct . I know for a fact football is offering full scholarships so I would be assuming, which I know what happens when you do that, basketball would be as well.

Cost of attendance is just another part of an athletic scholarship these days, like tuition, room and board, and books. No CoA equals partial scholarship as far as recruits are concerned.

David Glenn...he is the Family Dollar of sports show hosts. Only people who have had a lobotomy listen to his opinion.
With that said...Elon isn't even in the worst 5. Tied for worst are the two MEAC schools. Sorry..but those jobs are graveyards...when was the last MEAC coach to get a better job?? The answer is never. They are also the lowest paying as well. Next is App State. Sucky conference, zero fan support for BB and no resources (all go for football). Bad job. Next is ECU. Good conference, but same problems as App State. In their last coaching search, they had to change search firms..the first one was having a hard time finding interested candidates..for an AAC job!!! Horrible BB job. I would also rank Campbell below Elon. Pretty crappy school, no money, hard to recruit to that ugly town (nice new gym however). Bad conference too...pretty crappy job.

While I agree with a fair amount of this, I have to point out that LeVelle Moton is at Central by choice; he's had multiple opportunities to leave for bigger and better; and he's coached the Eagles for 10 of their 12 seasons in Division I. He also has a base salary of nearly $300k with another $180k in potential bonuses, which I'm sure he got a big chunk of winning the conference tournament and making another NCAA appearance. I seriously doubt Western Carolina, Gardner-Webb or UNCA pay as well. I would put NCA&T, HPU, UNCA, G-W, Campbell and ECU all below Elon - despite G-W's success this season and Campbell's raised profile with Chris Clemons great career coming to an end.

Sorry for doing this, but I have officially given a timeout to this guy, and anybody else who thought this was true. If you don’t understand why I am performing this act of justice, you are also placed into timeout.
