Glad to see them fight back after a bad outing on Thursday. It's a shame they couldn't close the deal yesterday. They did win more games during this tourney than all previous CAA tourneys combined. Also heard it mentioned next year's tournament is in Wilmington and then Elon in 2021. I'm still in agreement with others we shouldn't be playing on campus sites. So many great minor league venues and it's just a better overall experience for the fans and players. Go Phoenix! You do realize that playing at the minor league parka is usually be a hosted school and not the league. Elon is hosting, they could easily go to Greensboro and okay in one, but they won't The problem with the CAA is there aren't many cities with minor league stadiums. Wilmington - No Charleston - Yes but SoCon is usually there Elon - Burlington has a rookie league stadium, options in Greensboro, Durham, High Point Harrisonburg - No William & Mary - Closest is AAA stadium in Norfolk Towson - No teams nearby due to proximity to Orioles Drexel - No teams nearby due to proximity to Phillies Delaware - A Advanced stadium of Blue Rocks in Wilmington Hoftsra - Stadium of Long Island Ducks is nearby Northeastern - nothing due to proximity to Red Sox. You have limited choices unless you go so neatral that you are away from every team

You have limited choices unless you go so neatral that you are away from every team So the league can't take any kind of initiative and organize a better tournament? They didn't seem to have any problem taking the lead on the CAA hoops tourney the past 40 years. On top of that they just announced a new hoops tourney location that's 50+ miles from the closest CAA school. Which school is sponsoring the DC location? I've been to Elon's last 10 conference baseball tournaments as well as portions of the Big South tourney in Lynchburg and Fayetteville the past two years. The SoCon and Big South put on much better baseball events. Ting Park in Holly Springs would be a great location. Centrally located for the southern schools with RDU right down the road. The tenant is a summer league team that doesn't usually start play until June. www.hollyspringsnc.us/607/Ting-Park The point is if the desire is there it can be done, but it's clear the CAA and member schools are ok with this approach. If that translates into Elon making some improvements to Latham and getting to host I guess that's a silver lining, but it's still 2nd rate. Go Phoenix!

Ting is the home of the Salamanders, which is a Coastal Plain summer college league team. The stadium isn't as nice as the Woodpeckers Stadium in Fayetteville or the Rockers Stadium in High Point, but it's a LOT nicer than JMU, Elon or any of the other CAA venues.

Make sure to tell Blank all of this. I’m sure he’ll be all ears.

Blank will probably be happy with CAA members hosting. It works in Elon's favor with new updates and revenue from the games. I'm sure it's a good thing for the schools and teams. Just not exciting for fans.
