I can't believe how it ended. Sooooo many missed opportunities. How do you reconcile with a loss like that? I'm just so sad.

It was almost like we weren’t playing for anything. The special teams calls in the 4th Q were terrible (2 pooch kicks for great field position) and the overtime offensive play calling was awful.
I think Cole is the best receiver we have but to throw two to the corner of the end zone for a 50/50 ball when we haven’t utilized him effectively all season is ridiculous. I guess we still haven’t learned our lesson to help the tackles on the edge in critical situations. Gave up game defining sacks..and may be worse is that Cheek took them.
Overall just sour and feel bad for the boys. Plenty of chances to win but limited ourselves. Hats off to William & Mary on a gritty win. Terrible loss to end our postseason hopes. Have to do better in meaningful games. Oline and coaches never being in situations like this really showed through this game.

But, Cole is not our best receiver. If he could catch with his hands rather than his chest, we’d have won this game. The defense was totally flat, especially in the second half. Plus, when we’re losing the time of possession battle, why we continue to be content with 3 & outs with runs for two yards is beyond me. W&M’s D line blew our asses up. Cheek was running for his life again. No motivation, flat D when this was a do or die game, transparent play calling. This was on the coaching staff. Oh, and BTW, if Baughman is in the game, he’s running the ball. Does everyone in the free world know that now?

I’ve never in my life seen a team get as many gifts to win a game as Elon today. W&M had numerous shots to close this out quicker than 5 OTs. Their kicker was what, 1-7 on FGs?

I line is horrible and best receiver was dressed but did not play #7 Avery Jones. Once again Davis had a very bad game. W & M ran through our defense like croton oil. Their 3 man front completely stopped our running game.

I am still numb, IDK but We did not use #3 package in late stages could have been hurt but, #17 was really pressured as We could not sustain drives but We were bailed out and did not quit. #80 just got stripped at the end and had his feet in bounds. W&M pulled out a lot of tricks and formations but they controlled the LOS on Defense, hard loss to take with what We have left. Not having a sellout SRO is disgraceful for a Homecoming come on people. CAA conference games are dogfights every weekend. see the other scores.

I wouldn’t say completing 67% of passes with 5-7 crucial dropped balls a bad passing day. We are a team and everyone must do their job for the team to be successful. We had several opportunities to win , but in the end, we didn’t do what was needed to win. Pointing fingers at one particular player accomplishes nothing. It starts with coaching and ends with execution. We did not do either well enough to win today.

Not having a sellout SRO is disgraceful for a Homecoming come on people. 9200 in a .500 year (now sub .500) is par for the course. The 2 previous years saw about 1,000 more, and those were ranked teams. Nothing out of the ordinary, move along.

The game loss was not one player’s fault, and frankly the players on the whole were not at fault, IMO. With regard to who’s our best receiver, I really don’t know who I’d call our best receiver. I would’ve said Weeks earlier in the season and yes, Jones May have been there at one point as well. Cole is certainly in the top 3 so the earlier comment was unfair. With regard to why we lost yesterday? There were lots of unexpected subpar reasons but overall the team just seemed flat.
