Anyone coming up? I e-mailed Elon Athletics a couple times to see if I could get a photo cred and got no reply back. My hoops connection in the Athletic Department Josh, left Elon for another school after last year. I doubt I hear back from them now. I'll just buy tickets to the session where Elon is playing and catch the squad again, hoping they can advance. They will always have my support. Hope I can see them at least a couple times in DC.

Elon is the 7th seed and gets 10th seeded JMU on Saturday at 6:30. Win and they play William and Mary on Sunday at 6:00 PM
So here is next Saturday for my son and I. Villanova at Georgetown at Cap One Arena at noon. Head over to Entertainment and Sports Arena for Drexel - UNCW at 4:00 and Elon vs JMU at 6:30. Triple header hoops over two arenas. Something fun.
Sunday I'll fly solo to see Elon-W&M

What a win! I was at the Duke-UNC game but was keeping up with the score and listened to the last few minutes in the car. First checked the score and saw 14-0...thought "oh lord we're gonna get blown out here." Can't believe that's our first tournament win since 2015. With Hunter winning rookie of the year our future looks bright...but first on to William & Mary tonight! Went ahead and got a months subscription to FloSports so I could check out the game (I do wish they offered single game a la cart purchases, but whatever).

Quick question/request. I gave usage to Adam Smith at Burlington Times News and the Sheffield shot made the online edition of the BTN. Can someone tell me if it made print too? If so, can someone pick up a copy and I'd reimburse you. Thanks in advance!

Here is the link to the on-line version of the BTN (https://www.thetimesnews.com/sports/20200308/no-doubt-sheffield-sinks-game-winner-for-elon). The print version of the BTN is about 1 day behind because of the business model they are now using, so maybe it will be in tomorrow's paper.

Whatever happens over the next two days is gravy as far as I'm concerned. That was a great game tonight and gives us a good look at the future of this team. It's bright.

We believe Coach Schrage, we believe! Elon went 1-0 on Saturday, 1-0 on Sunday, let's just go 1-0 on Monday. Elon played William and Mary tough this year. They lost a one point decision at Schar in late December, then lost by seven at William and Mary late in the regular season. It is pretty tough to beat a team three times and Elon finally got them. Sure the record is 13-20 but for a couple days Elon players, coaches, parents, fans, kids all have their March Madness moments and have the anticipation of another game day. That's what it is all about. Enjoy the moments. Let's go Elon! Hated to miss tonight, something came up with my son's basketball team and I had to take him. I should make tomorrow night though.

Amazing game! I agree with ncjon, gravy from here on out. I felt the same way after last night.
Coaching staff did a great job with the size mismatch again. Impressed with how they continually get the most out of this team.
Woods and Poser both seem to be playing at another level at the right time and Sheffield and McIntosh continue to deliver.
Nice pics Hook Dorm.
Go Phoenix!

Of course I was hoping they had at least one more in 'em, but I can't complain one bit about what this group did.
I saw a lot of tired legs out there tonight, though. I hope the young players will remember that and use it as motivation both in the off-season and next year when they're fighting to get that first-round bye.
The future is so bright. JGB won't replace Sheffield, but I don't think he needs to. Hunter Mac and Ervin can be the primary scoring threats. JGB will bring leadership, toughness and excellent D. I do want to see the coaches develop some more depth. The shallow bench did not help this year.

I liked the mentality of Elon's nucleus of players committed to defense. Totally different type of players and if we get a point guard to run some offense it could happen? (A NCAA tournament trip) If we can keep mindset of tournament style basketball and continue holding opponents in the 60's. Elon will always have an opportunity to win some games in CAA tournament as long as conference teams don't improve quality of players. CAA was really down this season. In recent years we would give up 80 sometimes 90 points in tournament play. Defense wins championships. Elon had no offense scheme other than Sheffield going one on one and jacking up open threes without a pass maybe a ball screen fortunately we did get some second shots the second half which sparked our rally. Call me optimistic but if we don't turn the ball over and NE has to play against our half-court defense; NE only scores in the 50's. Elon would have been right there with them and possibly pull out a victory. I agree with the depth factor mentioned previously. As always wait until next year.
