Could not agree more with the posts above. We are just totally out coached top to bottom. Not saying I could do a better job, but I don’t make a living being a division one football coach either. Offensive scheme is terrible. We have an outstanding passing game but a non existent rushing game. Has 23 not proven yet he is terrible. Y keep running him out there? Give 34 a chance and run some misdirection. If it doesn’t work at least you tried. I promise you 34 will run his backside off and play hard. I wonder why he has never been given a chance? The definition of ignorance is doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. Do you hear that coaches? I noticed that every one of your posts are about giving number 34 a chance to play? There are a lot of other players on this team too that deserve a chance to play. Don't see anything changing under the current staff.

That is true, but these two losses were to teams that will be in the lower half of their respective conferences. We have the talent, with all of the injuries, we still are able to generate yardage. To say we are not far away depends on your perspective. We're not far away if we change our offensive philosophy and play to the talent we have. 4-5 bad plays each game have determined our losses. Clean up the mistakes and this team can compete against the majority of teams in the CAA. With respect, if we just clean up 4-5 bad plays, we can compete equivalently against the bottom half of one average fcs conference and one decent fcs conference. Our talent is better than that. If we keep this philosophy, our recruiting will tank. We need to cut our talented QB and receivers loose. Get aggressive!

I would love to have more aggressive play calling in an uptempo system. My point is if we don’t clean up the mistakes and do the little things well we won’t win regardless.

That is very true. You are correct in your assessment of that. The reason for that is that I am local and watched him for 4 years at Western Alamance. I was so excited about him coming to Elon as an alumni of Elon myself. I am sure the same applies for many other kids and positions. The point of my post was play kids that will lay it all on the line every play. To me that decision obviously comes from the coaching staff. I wish Elon the best for this football season and the seasons to come!!
