Our other Schrage recruit committed to Dusquene. Feel like Taylor and Co need to start making moves or we are going to be left empty-handed

The ship has officially sunk. Burford and MG were on track to be 2 of the best players to ever play at Elon. Not sure I have it in me to purchase season tickets this year.. I’m starting to get irritated.. YOURE LOSING ME BILLY, LETS PICK UP THE URGENCY. Rise Phoenix! Class of ‘82

Would be nice to see at least some activity by Elon on the recruiting trail/portal. The lack of any activity is worrisome.

Coach Taylor has nothing to do with Graham, Burford, and Mac leaving. It is curious that we have a summer camp announced without any official announcement on assistants and nothing on recruiting or from the transfer portal.

Since April 1 - Six scholarship players have entered the TP (transfer portal) and two 2022 (high school) grads have decommitted. Two of the lower level scholarship players apparently returned to the team.
It has been over 30 days since Schrage was suspected of interviewing for the job as John Scheyer's "Special Assistant". Since this time there have been 3 press releases from the Elon Athletics department. 1 Schrage's departure, 2 Taylor's hire, 3 Taylor's press conference. In comparison there have been 17 press releases from Duke Basketball and 29 press releases from UNC.
I'm not saying any of this is Billy Taylor's fault. But, with a coaching change in one of our school's top two sports teams, I would think there would be more.
Other than the propaganda about why Elon is so lucky to have Billy Taylor as our head coach, there have only been two Twitter posts from Elon Men's Basketball. The first was wishing Schrage a happy birthday and the second announced Schrage's departure. SMH

It's tough to get excited or get behind a new coach when there is virtually no engagement outside of the announcement. We don't need a play-by-play of the recruiting process, but give us some insight to generate interest and give fans a level of confidence in this new staff. It all comes across as doing the bare minimum. I'm sure that's not the case, but how do you expect to win people over when you don't tell them anything? Seems to be an Elon athletics issue as much as it is men's basketball. Go Phoenix!
