A good assessment. We have some tools, no doubt. The schedule may be our toughest opponent.

Exactly. I have banging the scheduling drum for 2 years now. I think we have done a lousy job scheduling our non-con for a couple of seasons now…taking into account it’s getting harder and harder for FCS to schedule successfully. My big beef is that we should be playing a higher financial return FBS game. My other beef is the reluctance for us to schedule a “cream puff” game. No way should we be playing TWO SoCon teams in a given season. I know this year is a bit unusual, with 4 non-con games, but I would like to see us play an FBS game, a SoCon game and a Big South/other game. I’m just glad we finally playing someone other than Gardner-Webb!
I think the CAA schedule is pretty favorable, least of which is we have the conference’s worst two teams on the road. That helps.
Pretty excited about the season. I think 7 wins is very doable, and 8 within reach. A CAA title would be a dream, so I will leave that to just a dream for now.

Also, in no way am I picking us to beat Duke. However, it’s worth noting that they lost everyone. I mean EVERYONE. And history tells us the best time to catch an FBS team is the first game of a new regime. Just sayin..
