The Princeton Review names Elon one of "The Best 366 Colleges"
Elon University is named one of the nation's best-administered schools in the 2008 college guide published by The Princeton Review. "The Best 366 Colleges" rankings are based on a survey of 120,000 college students (about 325 per campus) across the nation. Details...
Elon is ranked #19 on the Princeton Review's list titled "School Runs Like Butter." In addition, Elon's campus is ranked the 9th most beautiful in the nation. This is Elon's fourth appearance on Princeton Review's beautiful campus listing.
Elon students responding to the survey said the university “all about teaching you about your role as a global citizen and enabling you to do experiential learning, not only through discussion-based classes but also through opportunities to study abroad, undergrad research, internships, and involvement in a variety of student organizations.”
Students said they like Elon's size and praised study abroad opportunities, which are termed "phenomenal." They also praised opportunities for service.
From the guide's profile of Elon: With about 4,850 undergraduates, Elon is “just the right size. It’s not too small where everyone knows everyone, but small enough to still get the smallschool attributes.” At the same time, it’s large enough to sustain excellence in a variety of disciplines, including business, communications, a “prestigious but extremely competitive music theater program,” an “excellent Teaching Fellows program,” and a premed program that’s bolstered by an undergraduate cadaver lab—one of only five in the United States.
This is Elon's fifth year in The Princeton Review's guide, which is among the best selling publications that assist prospective students and parents in making their college choice.
