5 CAA teams in the playoffs was ludicrous. What a joke! So who's the best in the CAA? Based upon what we saw in the playoffs the best teams were Richmond and Delaware; probably in that order. The Selection Committee should be ashamed of themselves. Did the Phoenix belong in the playoffs? Who knows? But, the SoCon should have had at least one more team represented. New Hampshire? Are you kidding me?!!!
Major Congrats to App. They proved to be the best team once again.

I don't know man, JMU could've won the game at The Rock and gave App their closest playoff game.
I really think the SoCon got hosed, 1 or possibly 2 other teams fron the SoCon should've been selected.
Major congrats to App. 3 national titles in a row is unheard of.......

I don't think we should've gotten that 3rd bid as we tanked at the end. But I think with the way that GSU played at the end they should've gone in place of UNH. What does help is App taking care of the CAA all by themselves.
Congrats to App on the 3 peat. Now...How many days until the 2008 season?

If JMU didn't give them that win in the first round, the FCS tournament would have been a different story.
If App had to go on the road (like I think they SHOULD have), I'm not so sure they make it with the D they had. #2 and #3 going down really helped App out in the bottom half of the bracket.

Still, UNH vs. another SoCon team? Something smells funky.

Yeah, New Hampshire was shaky at best, but us and Georgia Southern didn't qualify because we didn't have enough D-1 wins. They had to win at Colorado State and that didn't happen. I'm sure if that 7-win rule weren't in there, GA Southern would have made it. The 7-win rule I think is still good, but NH just didn't seem like a playoff team to me.

yep thank Wofford for upset of Montana, the "Hooli-Apps" , I just made this up are what gives ASU such an un-sportsman like following. I have to give them props for coming out and supporting their team. They really don't look and act like they have "been there before" ...... it might be just me and all my frustration of their trash talking. Coach Moore is a fine man and coach. Being there 19 years is why they have been successful. He developed from with-in the core ofhis staff. and do the best job of developing their "walk-on" program. They graduate a lot of key people next year. but their QB, Edwards is the best Clemson cover corner or Gamecock Wide-out that barring injury ought to get looks for the Heisman. Maybe he'll transfer to Alabama? lol
Back to App fans or Hooli-Apps. I believe this what one gets when people are allowed to inner breed with their cousins. ;-)

There is no seven win rule. The NCAA stuff says that less than seven DI wins puts you in jeopardy of not being awarded an at-large bid.

Thats what I meant by the 7-win rule to qualify. If you don't have 7-wins in D-I, you can't make it in. I should have been clearer than a simple 7-win rule.

You can make it in with less than 7 DI wins. You're just at jeopardy of not making it with less.

there is and isn't a rule. The selection committie says they look at positive 7 wins first then go to the others.
