If anyone is heading out to the spring game, please post a spring game report for us all to read. It looks like a couple more weapons on offense have developed pretty well. Let everyone know how we look!

Just curious - what new weapons are you referring to?

I'm not wure about the weapons EP is referring to, but Andreas Platt is definately an awesome new weapon. He is big, strong, fast and aggressive. Quite frankly, the entire team seems to be a developing new weapon. Enthusiasm is at an all time new high. Corey Weaver continues to develop as does Carlos Sullivan. Offensively, Terrell Hudgins continues to impress and Wes has never looked better or more confident in a leadership role.

I was hoping to see an update of the depth chart before the spring game.
Anyone attending the game - I would be interesting in hearing reports on Kiner (OL transfer from Akron) and Cozart (freshman WR).

No reports from those attending the game? I was hoping to hear what impressions those attending have.

I was not able to go, but did see part of a feature story on Fox8 news last night. Interviewed Lembo and Pope and showed some footage. I almost don't want to see too much information posted....rather keep our opponents guessing some.

I went to the game but the best report is at www.elonphoenix.com. I will add that based on Saturday's game, players to watch are: Brandon Newsome - this kid is built and can hit and keep on running, to me the number 1 standout of the game. Andreas Platt - Unbelievably quick. Matt Leddy - This guy delivered the hardest hit of the game after catching the ball and running 7 yards. Great hands and tough. All of the usual suspects performed as expected, Hudgins, Pope, Myers, etc. The OLine really looked tough. If we can keep them healthy expect a more productive offense than last year, especially in the running game. Oh yeah, remember how everyone talked about how speedy the ASU defense was? Well, I'm not ready to go out on a limb & say that we'll be faster this year...yet, but this team is unquestionably faster than it was last year, especially on defense but also on offense. Positive thought of the day: Of the 12 returning OL, only Charley Porterfield and Charles Hairston will not return for the following year. We are heavily stacked in OL with freshmen and sophomores!

Thanks for the report FB. Were the starters on the OL any different from the depth chart Lembo published prior to spring practice?

good observation firebird as our over-all team speed has gotten better it is on both sides of the ball. so it kind of negates itself going head to head but these guys on defense really get to the ball and the OL is decent but not deep. 5 or 6 receivers and 3 RB's will give us depth so We can control tempo. Pope & Hudgins should post crazy numbers
