It was announced that the socon will handle the top 25 FCS this year with the hosting conf rotating each year.the rankings will be posted on the socon site as the season progresses. Maybe with us hosting more socon borderline teams will get in

I don't think the hosting conference makes a difference as to how the coaches vote. Nice thinking though

Not a difference in who is the the rankings but MORE EXPOSURE FOR THE CONFERENCE!! Glad to see the SoCon taking the lead in this one and I believe Lembo is still one of the heads in the voting (he was last year at least). This is one of those "Any publicity is good publicity" as I don't see us being the bottom feeders so hopefully we can get some story lines that include "Phoenix gets stronger" "Phoenix Upset #__ ranked ___" Phoenix finish over .500....if you can't tell I've got the football (and optimistic) blood running through me!!

Hopefully this season, our guys will start chipping away the lack of respect shown Elon by many of our opponents...I'm so sick of the pointed remarks that "letting" us into the conference means the SoCon is no longer a good conference. I look forward to the day when all those nay-sayers "brag" about Elon being in their conference (ok...well, maybe that won't happen, but at least they would stop complaining about us)
