In today's practice update the transfer from VT was mentioned. Here is some info on him...
Unsung DT Joey Hall Verbals to VT by Will Stewart, TechSideline.com
Defensive tackle Joey Hall has become the 20th player to commit to Virginia Tech's 2006 recruiting class. Hall, a 6-3, 260-pound prospect from Lee County High School in Sanford, NC, accepted the Virginia Tech offer the instant he received it. Hall is a teammate of Tech target Dennis Godfrey, and that's how Hall got the attention of the VT coaching staff. The Hokies were taking a look at Godfrey, and Lee County coach Jody Stouffer also gave them tape on Hall. Tech liked what they saw enough to offer Hall a scholarship. Hall runs a 4.9 forty, and VT was his childhood favorite. Hall's other offer was from Elon, and TSL lists Hall as a two-star recruit.

He was all but coming to Elon until VT knocked on his door. Apparently, VT lost a recruit, last minute and offered him. I guess things didn't work out there. He was a highly rated Elon recruit. AS for the LB from South Florida, word is they won't release him.

What do you mean they won't release him. ......You can transfer from 1A to 1AA without losing a year.......

That is true, but Leavitt has a rule that he will not break about releasing a player to a team he is about to play. I am sure a deal will be worked out to where Glover will join your team, but he wont play against USF.

This is what I found out about him...... -- Speaking of juicy transfers and season openers: Linebacker LeBrandon Glover still wants to transfer to Division I-AA Elon and is now willing to go over coach Jim Leavitt's head to get there. Glover, who redshirted his only season at USF, has not been granted a release to the North Carolina school because of Leavitt's policy of not releasing players to schools on USF's schedule -- USF opens this season at home against Elon). Glover is in the process of filing a rare waiver request that would be considered by a panel selected by USF's faculty representative and could grant him his release without Leavitt's approval. A lot of fuss for a freshman linebacker and a I-AA school USF should beat by 40 points, but Leavitt doesn't want to set a precedent for allowing kids who have had USF's playbook for a year to transfer to an opponent.

Glover looks to have an impressive resume. I wonder what the connection is that is leading him to Elon?

I don't want to sound like I am trying to knock the guy b/c I am not, but Glover would not have seen any real significant playing time this year and even maybe next. The problem is that we are very deep at that position. He was (and still is) a great prospect that came out of Pensecula and I hope now he will be able to see some playing time. Good luck to him in the future.

From the tampabay.com blog today...
-- Remember all the fuss about freshman linebacker LeBrandon Glover transferring to Elon? How he wanted to go but Jim Leavitt wouldn't release him, so he went over Leavitt's head and was petitioning to a committee, so Leavitt went ahead and released him? He never got there. Glover is at Jackson State, another I-AA school, and said Wednesday he needed to be closer to his home in Pensacola because his grandmother had been hospitalized due to kidney failure. Glover's been out with a knee injury but said he'll be competing for a starting job.
