Does anyone know if Lembo will still have the weekly radio show in addition to this new weekly event. I hope he keeps the radio show.
Elon To Host 'Inside the Elon Huddle'
8/14/2007
ELON, N.C. – Elon Director of Athletics Dave Blank recently announced that Elon Athletics will host ‘Inside the Elon Huddle’ during the 2007 football season. The event will begin at noon and run until 1 p.m. at the Best Western in Burlington with lunch served by The Chop House. The luncheon will begin on Tuesday, September 4 after Labor Day and occur every Monday for 12 weeks throughout the season. Lunch will be offered for $10.00 or a season pass can be purchased for $100.00.
“I’m really excited about this season-long event. We, as a department, are very committed to connecting our teams and student-athletes with the community. This community is essential to our fan base and we recognize how important it is to engage our fans with our coaches and student-athletes,” said Blank.
Attendees will get to hear straight from head coach Pete Lembo about the past weekend’s game and about the upcoming opponent and will also get to talk with two Phoenix players each week.
"These luncheons are another tangible example of our efforts to reach out and connect Elon football with the Burlington Community,” said Lembo. “It is important that our constituents get to know our players off the field and learn more about the challenges they face being Division I student-athletes. These public appearances are also excellent opportunities for our players to develop their interpersonal skills."
