Good luck the rest of the year. I was very impressed with the poise of your young QB. He played like he had been starting for a couple of years. Also thought your Defense played very well most of the night. It was alot closer than I would have liked so I give credit where its due. I'll be rooting for you guys the rest of the year. Congrats on a great game played and good luck in the SoCon this year!
Go Bulls!!

Griggsy here also from thebullspen.com.
I echo JoeB's comments -- VERY impressed with the young QB. He's going to be a serious weapon for you guys.
For any of you who didn't hear Lou Holtz's comments on the App St-Michigan upset: He said that App St was stacking up the receivers and spreading Michigan's defense out and THAT was the great equalizer for them. Im no Lou Holtz fan...but I think Elon must have been taking notes. We just about got nickle and dimed to death.
Final observation: Your running game needs to improve, but your QB/receiving corps and d-line could compete well at the Div1a (FBS) non-BCS level.
Congrats on a game well played, and good luck for the rest of your season. We'll be pulling for you

Thanks guys, I think I posted something on your board a couple days ago that echo mamabulls's comments. I thoroughly have enjoyed chatting with the USF fans. Insightful and down to earth........except for the guy yesterday that said we were about the feel the full effects of the Death Star

The Sheriff tends to go a little over the top at times. Nevertheless, as I said before, you gave us a good game. You've absolutely nothing to feel bad about. I will be watching your progress during the season.
Best of Luck.

If the USF people are still on the board, am wondering, has there been an update on the condition of the guy who was injured by the fireworks? I saw the Sunday paper and noted it appears to be in serious condition but injuries were not life threatening. I saw it occur and was fearful that he would lose his eye - am sure it was only seconds but it seemed eternity until somebody noticed he needed help. For those of you not at the game, it was a freak accident that occured when he was setting up the fireworks, that I guess were supposed to go off when team ran out. Teams were about to run onto the field, so a lot of people did not notice he was hurt right away.

In regards to the fireworks guy, I believe he's OK, aside from being treated for 3rd degree burns on his body. That was brutal. Is it really worth the trouble to have fireworks at a football game?
