The Tigers are #6 RPI and have beaten the likes of South Carolina, Michigan State and Duke. BUT, their losses include 2 to USC, 3 to Virginia and 1 to .... Presby . Yep, they're good but they're beatable. Good Luck Phoenix!!!

One bad inning really doomed the team. They seem to struggle geting out of an inning once it starts getting ugly and sometimes its that one inning tht hurts.

That 7 run inning was killer. I was keeping up with things on the live stats and had to turn it off!
Good luck to the team tonight!

Could use a big win out of conference. Clemson would be a big one for sure. Any idea who is pitching - just a team effort?

Man, looks like they'll have to get it done in conference this year to make the regionals. They've dropped 5 big OOC games.......

Like I said. This team will struggle to score runs when the other team doesn't give up BB and HBP. They don't have enough pop. I noticed that they didn't get outhit that badly. But the lack of pop in the middle of the order will hurt them now and at playoff time. Coach seems to be experimenting somewhat with what is sitting on the shelf. We'll just have to see what emerges. Hard for me to tell yet until shelf gets enough consecutive AB's to get their timing. Canipe looks like he's working his way to somewhere in the middle of the order. He has 3 HR's and about 50 AB's so his stats start to become representative.

A side note. I thought Girdy pitched a real nice game as he gets his arm stretched out to go longer. The others seemed to have control issues. You don't have to sit on an off speed pitch if the pitcher can't throw it for a strike. They were waiting on the fastball as they should. Was unable to watch the second Clemson game.
