COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP)—Miami baseball coach Jim Morris picked up his 800th win with the Hurricanes on Sunday, when his team defeated Maryland 5-2 in the second game of a doubleheader. Morris is now 800-310-3 in his 18 seasons at Miami. He’s 1,304-554-4 in 29 seasons as a Division I coach overall.

Miami has reached the NCAA tournament a record 38 straight times, a streak that is expected to continue this season. Sunday’s win improved Miami to 24-12 this season, 13-4 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

I was kinda wondering the connection there... looked up his bio and it doesnt have that listed, just that he started as an Asst Coach at App.

Jack McKeon & Jim Morris are the programs foundation also Dick Such major league pitching coach and umpires Drew Coble & Joe West are Elon products fwiw.

I knew about McKeon and Joe West... i had tried to look up Jim Morris when you posted as i figured it had some connection but it didnt mention Elon at all in his Bio.
