espn.go.com/ncaa/blog/_/name/ncaa_baseball/id/6519997/conference-races-come-wireJeremy Mills gives his most recent prediction of what the tournament field will look like (he has us as a 2-seed in the Charlottesville region with the Cavs, who are the #1 seed overall) as well as conferences he thinks will only get one bid to the tournament. He has the SoCon as one right now, which kinda surprises me.

No surprise there. The league is rated 14-15 this year and the second-best RPI belongs to Charleston and is in the 60s.

I agree with topher, the conf RPI is really down this year, unless we loose in the title game i find it hard the argue 2 socon teams getting in.

The SoCon RPI is fluctuating between 11-15.
It would be nice to see us in the Cavs regional. That's just a short drive from my place!

ODU win vs CAA league leader probably will not hurt

Well if it were Corvallis I would have to look into a visit to my mom who lives out there now, but i somehow dont think we get shipped that far. Another projection is www.collegebaseballdaily.com, which has us going as the 3 seed to Chapel Hill with ECU and Charlotte. Also there is www.perfectgame.org, but they do not have their's up for this week yet. I have been watching these 4 for a while and we are always 2-3 seed but ranging from UVa, UNC, USC, GaTech, Clemson (when they were predicted to host). Corvallis is the biggest stretch i have seen so far.

As far as the predictions go - i dont think the regional in Corvallis would be that bad as a standpoint of liklihood to advance. I think UVa would be extremely difficult and i think UNC would be hard as well but we are familiar with the teams and its close.

That projected Chapel Hill regional would be a hot ticket. Corvallis would be interesting too and while Oregon State might be a little weaker host than UVA, I don't think it's by much. The Beavers have a really good team this year. Would be good to see them somewhere other than Clemson or Atlanta.
Go Phoenix!

I don't know of any college baseball expert that thought OSU would be sitting atop the Pac-10 at the moment.

Oh I know about OSU from my mom living just a few miles away from them. I have been to a game there before and they get a great crowd, especially since they won back to back CWS. It is not a knock on them at all as a team as they have dominated the Pac-10. They are a surprise because they are young and lost a lot from last year, but still playing great ball. UVa is just plain dominant this year, only losing 5 - that would be the team i would least want to have to beat, much less beat twice.

I'm going to the Miami/UVA game tomorrow afternoon and will be attending some meet and greet with Jim Morris at a Miami alumni reception. I have a good friend here that graduated from "The U" that is fairly well connected into their athletics. I'm also taking an official NCAA baseball to see if I can get it signed by one of our great alumnus and college baseball coaching legend! I hear that UVA has an unbelievable facility, so this should be a pretty good time!

Wow guys, UVA has an amazing park and great game day experience! UVA also has some of the best pitching I've seen in college baseball in quite some time.
I did also get a ball signed by Elon alum and Miami coach Jim Morris!
