But you can't blame all that on Kye. The o-line didn't really protect him and sacks count as rushing yards.

Let's move on from Kye. We abused him enough when he was here. I'd rather focus on the potential of the team Elon has now. Just think...when Elon plays Wake in 2009 and Duke in 2010, some of these young guys who are already playing well will be juniors and seniors. I know there is a lot to still be proven, but the future certainly looks bright.
Go Phoenix!

Lets change this to NUMBERS. Anyone recently looked at the stats on ESPN.COM for I-AA football?? Don't have to look very far down the list to see ELON as of week 2. Just a few that are up:
Individual Passing Yards: 3. S. Riddle Elon 572 Receiving yards: 4. T. Hudgins Elon 234 Team Passing Yards 5. Elon 313.5

The 80 yrd pt return was a top 6 all time form elon No 1 is a 108 return believe that return was off a miss field goal attempt, ball was lying in endzone then picked up and returned for TD. punt in endzone would have been downed as touch back.

I may be a bit old school, but I think to become an elite team our rushing numbers need to be that hi up the chart as well.

You are correct on the touchback rule but this record is from the 1960's and is listed under punt returns in elons record book so im guessing that that rule was bot in effect at that time or the ref's made a big booboo

Did anyone notice tha P Hamilton had a running back go over 200 yards a week ago......John Taylor! He ought to write a handbook on how to play college football for ten years!
