Starting Rotation? Bullpen/Closer? Offense? Defensive changes? Recruits/Trans contributing?
Let's hear 'em....

Offense marginally less productive, replacing ss will be difficult. Pitching significantly less productive. Rebuilding? Incoming freshman ... to paraphrase coach from a radio interview .... "play well enough to help you lose"? So don't expect much help there. A lot of small ball and stealing. Alot of manufactured runs. Defense better be able to play error free. Good luck to the team this year, they always play hard. Need to see if developing pitchers that didn't get much time on the mound have progressed.

Agree that Offense will be an opportunity, last year was not that potent either. Swim, Gomez, Kinsella, Niko & Luce have to lead... Defense should be sound, replacing a Sr SS like Prichard always difficult...Koster? Pitching is returning 3 fairly strong (Clark, Whitehead & Webb) with Hi # Inn P in '10, they should be rested since not throwing much, if at all, this summer. Wait & see on Stokes and Darnell returning from surgery. Will the 3 JUCO's perform at this level...? Brebbia signing leaves a whole, who will emerge as the Closer?

I'm afraid that finishing third in conference would have to be considered a good season. Should be interesting. GSU has two Cape players tht were top prospects. CoC still looks formidable. Counting on guys who are comming off surgery is tenable at best, but maybe one of them will be able to perform well in the second half of the season. You're right about opportunities, they should abound on what one might say is a rebuilding season or seasons.

If I read this correctly, Baseball America is predicting two GSU players to be drafted in the first round of the next draft. It's going to be a rebuilding year for us
