Good win last night. Don't get to see Elon beat DI competition by 20+ very often. Dartmouth struggled shooting the ball which certainly helped, but Elon played excellent D most of the game.
3 point shooting was atrocious on both ends. 20% shooting from 3 won't cut it in most of the games remaining on the schedule, so hopefully last night was just an off night.
Free throw shooting was great and surprisingly Dartmouth's was awful. I always assume Ivies will shoot well from the line, but last night was not the case for Dartmouth.
Two tough ones coming up after exams and then a lot of winnable games after that. Hoping the time off doesn't impact the early momentum.
Go Phoenix!

Dartmouth played very aggressive defense. That is partially why our percentages were so low. We also played aggressive D which is one reason their percentages were so low. After seeing the game I'm surprised we scored 71. This was a solid win for us.

I'm still worried that we have a tendency to live and die by the three. We are going to need to get help for Troutman down low on a consistent basis.

i agree it seems the past few seasons have been that way. When we are hot were hot otherwise we shoot bricks. I would like to see us build up some bigger post players and play a more inside game. Its a dule benifit because it will improve our rebounds

I watched most of the game online, and it was a TOUGH shooting night for booth teams.
The defense looked very aggressive, which is great to see on the poor shooting nights.
It's fairly sad looking at the rest of the schedule. There are only 3 teams on the remainder of the schedule, who currently have .500 or better records: UMASS, Duke and Davidson. The RPI at the moment has the team going 18-10 on the year. That's not to say the team will win a majority of the rest of the game, but the conference sked is looking fairly favorable.

I went to the game at Dartmouth last season, and the shooting percentages weren't great there either. Last year, we lost 62-54. Good to see the team get a big win on a night that they don't shoot lights out.
