If I remember correctly Elon was up at half last year and then Isenbarger went out with his shoulder injury. It was all downhill from there.
Without looking up names I'm pretty sure UMass has a really good PG and then a long PF who is going to be a tough matchup for Elon's big men.
With this game being played in Springfield, hopefully that will level the playing field a little bit as far as home court and crowd.
Go Phoenix!

Well, we played umass tough but came up short in OT. I had really hoped for a win here but it isn't a bad loss. Umass is a good team in a very good conference. It looks like our rebounding is really getting better. This will be important in conference play.

BTW our conference is really stinking the place up so far this year. The SoCon owns 5 of the bottom 20 teams in the nation in RPI. We have only one team in the top 100, CofC and they just lost to a DII team.

This was a heck of a road game for the team. The officiating seemed terrible......nearly 80 FTs shot in the game. It seemed if any player just merely looked at the other team, a whistle was blown. Anyway, I hope they keep up the intensity and play Duke tough.
That CoC loss is quite stunning. Nothing else to be said.....
