Just wanted to mention the game will be UNH's Homecoming and to alert you to how that game is different from the other UNH home games. I assume there will be some of you that come up for the game. The UNH campus is 65 miles and a 1:15 drive from Boston's Logan Airport with the caveat that rush hour traffic can significantly increase the travel time. Even closer is the Manchester (NH) airport. The nearby town of Portsmouth (a little over ten miles away) is a fantastic locale for a weekend visit.

Normally tailgating at UNH has two locations -- Boulder Field (alcohol allowed, pre-purchase for parking, game ticket required for admission) and Lot A (no alcohol). On Homecoming both locations allow alcohol and there will be a different traffic pattern for the stadium area. As time gets closer there will be more information about details for 2015, but for now I just wanted to put a suggestion out there so you don't bother buying a parking pass for Boulder Field like some friends from William & Mary (Tribe4SF) did last year. Homecoming is very popular and attracts a large crowd, over 18K last season, and many just come to tailgate. Our "stadium" doesn't come close to holding that many people even with ample standing room. Younger alums flock to Boulder Field, egress is difficult and frankly I just think you'd have a better time in Lot A. Let's just say it's Party Central out there! I attend a lot of road games so I'm sensitive to the treatment of the visitors. We had a great tailgate last season at Elon and I want anyone coming up to UNH to have a good experience.
If you plan on attending, don't wait until the last minute to book a hotel because it's a very busy time of year. Leaf peeping might be just a short trip away! Weather is normally still very good in early October, could still be in the 70's. If people plan to come up for the game, I'll be glad to post more info at a later date. There are many options with the ocean nearby, Boston so close, the NH mountains and the Mt Washington Valley just over 1:30 away.
