What is wrong with cc's shoulder? It sure as hell is not separated. Stinger maybe that's the worst of it. There is a view that he was being pulled regardless. Not going to win more then 3 games with dink and dunk & a below avg run game. Any fan would take a .500 season after yesterday's disaster. Remember our 6 points came from GWs turnovers giving Elon favorable field position. Also, if you belive all they hype about our team being the best conditioned why did we have so many guys going down with cramps? ? It 80 degrees so much for that 3:30 kick off!!' Worse than a stinger not as bad as a separation.

Correct on Wrobo. I believe that they gave him the OC title to justify paying him following his stint at Rutgers. Skrosky is the play caller and offensive mastermind. GW dominated in all aspects of the game. I was surprised after reading all of your posts and am wondering why you guys think the CAA was such a good move and that more dominate than the Big South? We don't have Coastal anymore but Charleston Southern and Liberty ain't too shabby. Our little DB's did a pretty good job on your WR's and don't kid yourself on the OL play. GW only played 3 down linemen so I would hope they could contain that, when we blitzed out of the nickel that made a difference. I felt the OL was your weakest link, could not run the ball. Good luck the rest of the way and sorry GW wasn't that easy win you were looking for.

100% yes to leave the Big South. BS I think is one team away from loosing there AQ. If liberty bolts then they are out of luck. We also go for students up and down the East coast so it helps get our name out there academic wise. there are far more ranked teams in the CAA, which yes can lead to a but kicking but hopefully raises our game and helps with recruiting.
GW did a good job of adjusting at halftime and exposing the holes in our D. The easy win was not as much a dig at GW but more a hope that we had progressed more in the off season.

Team looked to be in very poor condition. Everyone died in the second half. Players couldn't move. It will be very scary once we get to the conference of Skrosky doesn't get their conditioning better. We will get killed

It will be very scary once we get to the conference of Skrosky doesn't get their conditioning better. We will get killed Funny thing is in the Compelled video released on Friday the strength coach went on and on about how physically ready they were and how there hasn't been a game the other team was in better shape than them. Apparently all talk. Cringe-worthy knowing what we know now. Go Phoenix!

Agreed. We saw first hand the team was far from physically ready to play against GW. Also any coach would say they are more prepared than the team they are going against. Our record the last few years and the way the players looked in general obviously showed that the person interviewed in the video is a little delusional. If the team keeps playing like this he should hope Coach Skrosky and Dave Blank like him or he will be looking for a new job. I'm not saying he is fully to blame as other people are also but this was a major factor in the way the team played.

Let's don't lose our heads. Typically nothing is ever as good as it seems or as bad as it seems. IMO the Oline play was pretty solid, we limited turnovers, and we battled well for two and half quarters. GWU sustained long drives in the 3rd and capitalized on them. We had many positive yardage plays but no explosive plays, in part due to not possessing numerous catchable balls. I do believe we weren't as quick as we needed to be sideline to sideline but can't take nothing away from GW's blocking on the edge. We do need to keep our composure late in the game with personal fouls. That was a bit embarrassing. All in all, i thought GWU was a good team and can possibly make a run in the Big South.
Contradicting what some of you have said, I certainly believe the staff has the team heading in the right direction. As shown last year on the road, we had some young guys playing at a very high level and this young team will play at a high level as well. They just need to be sure and do it consistently in order to compete effectively in this league.
Have no doubt these boys know the schedule that is ahead of them and know they need to bring it week in and week out. I have faith they will.
I look forward to the Charlotte game and seeing a large Elon following to support the boys.
GO PHOENIX!

People on the inside have been posting on here and talking in private about how this coaching staff has mistreated players and driven several good ones off. And clearly not replacing them with better players. Your not an Elon fan if your not wondering what Loughery would look like as a senior this year. But in 2014 the coach played Quinn who was great at completing passes (to the other team in the endzone) clearly to set CC up to be the starter. Well the chickens are coming home to roost Bobby Boushay.

Are we suggesting he would've beat out the starting QB that was the returning starter when this Coaching staff arrived? Let's don't live on "what ifs".

CC IS FINE. SAW HIM @ SMITHFILEDS AFTER THE GAME WITH HIS FAMILY. EGO MAY BE BRUISED BUT HIS SHOULDER IS FINE. NO SLING, NO ICE, NOTHING. NTOHING ON THE SIDELINE AS WELL. WE DONT HAVE A QB THAT CAN THROW DOWN FIELD AND DID NOT RECRUIT A QB IN THE '16 CLASS. BRILLIANT MOVE! RUNNING GAME LOOKED GOOD BUT WE GOT AWAY FROM IT. OL PLAYED WELL AND PROVIDED SOLID PROTECTION. DEFENSE WAS BEYOND AWFUL. NOT LIKE IT WAS A SURPRISE THAT GW's QB WOULD RUN ALL DAY. MOST DISTURBING PART IS THE LACK OF DISCIPLINE AND LACK OF CONDTIONING. THE TEAM ONCE AGAIN WAS NOT READY TO PLAY. THAT IS ON SKROSKY AND HIS STAFF. First of all dude, you know absolutely nothing. You ice on and off for 15 minutes when you have an injury. He did have ice under his shoulder pads on the sidelines in the 3rd quarter and I guarantee you he got worked on after the game and met with doctors. You don't keep ice on your shoulder 24/7 when you are injured. EDUCATE YOURSELF. The kid sees his family 4 times a year, let him enjoy that rare time. Guarantee you he was upset about the loss. Do you want him to leave his family and just stay alone in his room all night? No. Think logistically here. You don't know him. He tried to stay in the game and clearly couldn't throw after he got hurt and took himself out. Have a little respect and understanding regardless of what you think about him as a player.

I see a lot of guests contributing why not grow a pair and join this forum. My Elon edumacashun makes me want to cuss as frustration with this program has grown to a new crescendo. You can only put lipstick on a pig for so long. The local and "Old" Alumni Base has not grown in 30 years. Outside of Homecoming I can count 5 great turnouts to Rhodes Stadium in over 15 years. If they win We will come. Hmm Students leave at the half. It saddens me but it is what it is. Duke made a turn around. Look at A&T We are looking for the next Scott Riddle. He is not eligible anymore. Rich better start playing guys where He can identify a playmaker! These guys have to step up. They gave me a free ticket and pass to the letterman lounge. You would think it would be packed, NOT! Way too many empty season ticket chairbacks. thank God for the Parents section. The Athletic Staff (IMG) marketing is poised for success, I wish more people cared.

That is what scared me, with the amount of promotions they did this year, I was worried that turnout was dropping. Even the turnout in the Letterman lounge was lite. Agreed we need to win to build it back up, but we haven't ever really recruited a a star. Scotts was a legacy, then our top 2 WR were a FBS transfer and a guy just outside of Elon. Not saying we cant recruit but these guys fell into our laps and it seems we are waiting for that to happen again

Watching our QB play is very frustrating. How about the two passes at the end of the first half? Fade pass to the corner and he throws a bullet which zips right past our WR instead of a nice easy pass dropping into the corner. Then the same thing to the right. It was like screaming a 2 iron past a green from 30 yards out when all you need is a lob wedge. I commented immediately to my wife and then sure enough 10 seconds later the tv guys said the same thing.
The kid has no touch at all. Someone needs to coach the kid that being a good QB is not all about arm strength. Not sure if it's coaching or the kids lack of feel for how to throw the ball. Its his third year in the program he is not getting the job done. Time to give the next kid a chance. And then the next kid and so on.
